Who knew Nancy Pelosi was such a straight-shooter? When Wolf Blitzer tries to pin part of the blame for the current energy crisis on the Democratic Congress, Pelosi shoots back by saying her House did everything it could to institute a sensible energy policy, only to have "run into a brick wall" in the form of Senate Republicans — you know, the ones who broke the filibuster record for a full term last year.
It's always somebody else's fault. Pelosi's title as we all know is Speaker of the House. (God forbid third in line to the Presidency!) This is her latest comment: "America has only 1.6% of the world's oil supply, but we use 24%---so drilling isn't mush of a solution at all." WTF did she just say? So not only is she Speaker of the House, an author (her book landed with a thud selling only 2737 copies in the first week), she also is a self-proclaimed expert on the geophysics of oil exploration.
In the entire United States including ANWR she knows there is 1.6% of oil to be discovered. Not 3.9%, not 18.7%, not 9.4% but exactly 1.6%. WOW she's good! All this time I thought only God knew that. Even if you're a Democrat, you pay the same price as a Republican at the gas pump. How do they keep falling for this shit time and time again?
