TV station 'ends relationship' with anchor after online post

After 21 Emmy Awards this woman gets fired for speaking the truth.

---------------------------------------------------------

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh television station WTAE said it has ended its relationship with anchorwoman Wendy Bell over racial comments she posted on Facebook about an ambush shooting at a cookout that left five people and an unborn baby dead.

In a statement Wednesday, parent company Hearst Television said Bell's comments were "inconsistent with the company's ethics and journalistic standards."

Bell, who is white, speculated about the identities of the two men who fatally shot five black people in the poor Pittsburgh suburb of Willkinsburg on March 9.

In her March 21 post on her anchor Facebook page, she said in part: "You needn't be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts two weeks ago Wednesday. ... They are young black men, likely in their teens or in their early 20s. They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before. They've grown up there. They know the police. They've been arrested."

In the same post, she also praised a black restaurant worker in a way some readers felt was condescending.

After a social media backlash, Bell apologized, saying her words "were insensitive and could be viewed as racist." The station also apologized, saying Bell's remarks showed "an egregious lack of judgment."

Authorities have not made any arrests in the killings or provided a description of the possible suspects. Siblings Jerry Michael Shelton, 35, Brittany Powell, 27, and Chanetta Powell, 25, along with two cousins, Tina Shelton, 37, and Shada Mahone, 26, were killed in the ambush shooting, police said. Chanetta Powell was nearly eight months pregnant.

On Wednesday, Bell defended herself, saying she didn't get a "fair shake" from the station, and that the story was not about her, but about "African-Americans being killed by other African-Americans."

"It makes me sick," she told The Associated Press when reached at her home on Wednesday. "What matters is what's going on in America, and it is the death of black people in this country. ... I live next to three war-torn communities in the city of Pittsburgh, that I love dearly. My stories, they struck a nerve. They touched people, but it's not enough. More needs to be done. The problem needs to be addressed."

Bell joined WTAE in 1998 and has won 21 Emmy Awards.

Her post drew mixed reactions from viewers. Some saw her comments as offensive and called for her firing, while others said the comments were not racist and applauded her honesty. Facebook pages in support and opposition of Bell were created in the wake of the incident.

North Koreans are more brainwashed than Bernie Sanders followers

They sit back and starve to death watching  Kim Jong Un get fat.

-------------------------------------

North Korea warns of new famine as Kim's weight, belligerence balloon

Portly North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, whose hostile actions have brought crippling international sanctions to his impoverished nation, has a new message for the Hermit Kingdom's starving masses: Get ready to eat plant roots.

Kim, whose weight the South Korean government estimates has ballooned to nearly 300 pounds, signaled through state media that the nation could be headed for another famine like the one that killed an estimated 3.5 million people in the 1990s.

"The road to revolution is long and arduous," an editorial in the state-run Rodong Sinmun newspaper said Monday, according to The Telegraph. "We may have to go on an arduous march, during which we will have to chew the roots of plants once again."

"Even if we give up our lives, we should continue to show our loyalty to our leader, Kim Jong Un, until the end of our lives."

- North Korean state-run media

"Arduous march" in North Korean is code for famine. It's how state media described the disaster that struck when Kim was a mere teen, which experts say was brought on by the economic mismanagement of his father, Kim Jong Il, loss of foreign aid and natural disasters.

But Kim, who at 33 walks with a cane and reportedly suffers from gout, won't miss any meals. Last September, South Korea disclosed that Kim appeared to have added nearly 70 pounds to his 5-foot, 9-inch frame over the previous five years, reaching an estimated weight of 290 pounds.

Photos released over the past year have shown Kim Jong Un's rapid weight gain. The secretive regime hasn't said much about it, but South Korean analysts suspect he's been under severe stress. Investigators also note that he reportedly developed a taste for Emmental cheese while he was a student in Switzerland years ago.

Pyongyang has ordered every citizen in the capital to provide around 2 pounds of rice to the state’s supplies every month, while farmers are forced to hand over additional rations from their own meager crops to the military, South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo reported.

The comments from state media come amid reports of North Koreans hoarding their food supplies, according to The Telegraph. Kim Jong Un’s regime has been cracking down on open-air markets that have served as a source of additional food for city dwellers.

"Even if we give up our lives, we should continue to show our loyalty to our leader, Kim Jong Un, until the end of our lives," the state-run newspaper wrote, calling for a "70-day campaign of loyalty."

(They eat this crap with a spoon)

Much of North Korea's population of 25 million is already hungry, but new sanctions, the most severe in 20 years, were approved by the UN Security Council after Pyongyang’s February nuclear weapons test and a recent long-range missile launch.

The sanctions will further cripple North Korean trade and squeeze Kim's weapons programs. Under them, UN members are even barred from accepting the reclusive nation's main exports of coal and iron ore.

But experts don't expect Kim's belligerence to stop just because the world shuns him. The latest message to the suffering people is yet another one of collective sacrifice.

“It’s an old pattern of telling the population to endure short-term hardship for the promise of larger benefits over the long term,” Daniel Pinkston, a lecturer at Troy University in Seoul, told the Los Angeles Times of the Rodong Sinmun editorial.

Woman Who Had Affair With Bill Clinton Claims Hillary Clinton Had “Several” Abortions

On a tip from Ed Kilbane

A woman who reportedly had a months-long affair with pro-abortion former President Bill Clinton back in 1983 says Hillary Clinton had multiple abortions and the couple decided to have Chelsea Clinton simply because of political calculations.

Sally had a three-month affair with then Gov. Bill Clinton in 1983 and recently conducted an interview in which she make the startling claim about Hillary, who is currently seeking the Democratic nomination for president. She says Bill Clinton told her about the abortions during numerous conversations:

“She had several abortions before she had Chelsea and it was only because Bill convinced her that if they were ever going to move up in politics that they had to have a child because that is what the political analysts had said,” Miller says.

About giving birth to Chelsea for political reasons, Miller adds:

“They’ve gotta see her as a human. They have to see her — I think in society they always say, ‘If you were a mother, you can’t be half bad. There has to be some love or gentleness or compassion within in you birth a child,’ but that’s not true.

“There’s some pretty bad mothers. I had one,” Miller says. She said her mother had abused her for years.

Referring to Clinton again, Miller tells The American Mirror, “She is a Gloria Steinem kind of feminist. If you’ve ever seen picture or heard Gloria Steinem, just a cold, conniving b—-. That’s just it.

“And they don’t care about anyone but themselves. That’s what most feminists are all about. It’s about themselves,” according to Miller.

First Lezbo president?
Hope not.
BTW...she's not the first to call Killary a Lezbo.

Hillary’s dedication to abortion is unquestioned and abortion activists have often turned to extreme abortion advocacy in part because of their desire to defend previous abortions.

Asked about President Barack Obama’s nominee to replace pro-life Justice Antonin Scalia, Clinton said she would not second guess Obama’s nomination and added that any nomination she would make if elected would be a hardcore abortion activists who supports Roe v. Wade, which has ushered in an era of 58 million abortions.

Folding gun that looks like a smartphone worries police

Check it out here.

A double-barreled handgun that folds up to look like a smartphone is worrying police officers.

Developed by Minnesota startup Ideal Conceal, the pistol folds into a palm-sized square. “Smartphones are everywhere, so your new pistol will easily blend in with today’s environment,” explains Ideal Conceal, on its website. “In its locked position it will be virtually undetectable because it hides in plain sight.”

The gun can be safely carried in a purse or clipped to a person’s side, the company added.

However, the gun’s resemblance to a smartphone is making police officers nervous, CNN Money reports.

“In general, the concept of any kind of weapon that’s disguised, so that it’s not apparent that it’s a weapon, would be cause for concern,” said Bill Johnson, executive director and general counsel for the National Association of Police Organizations.

The Ideal Conceal pistol has a list price of $395 and will be available for purchase in mid-2016, according to the company’s website. Developer Kirk Kjellberg told CNN Money he’s already received 2,500 emails from people who want to buy the handgun.

Kjellberg said the Ideal Conceal cannot be fired while in its closed position.

The gun, which has two bullets loaded into two barrels, is a .380-caliber derringer that uses a hammerless firing system.

CNN Money reports that, even if it's in plain sight, the gun might actually require a concealed carry permit, depending on state and local laws, which vary widely.

The Ideal Conceal website urges users to always check state and local concealment laws.

Fidel Castro pens vitriolic attack on Obama after historic visit

Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro, pictured in February 2016, launched an attack on U.S. relationship with Cuba

Fidel Castro has launched a blistering attack on the US's relationship with Cuba just days after Barack Obama visited the country, writing 'we don't need the empire to give us any presents'.

The US president's visit had been intended to bury the hostility between the two countries and in a speech the former leader said it was time the nations came together 'as friends and as neighbors and as family together'.

But in a letter to 'Brother Obama' on Monday, Castro dismissed Mr. Obama's words as 'honey-coated' and reminded Cubans of the many attempts by the US to overthrow and weaken the communist government.

Mr. Obama did not meet with Castro, 89, during his three-day visit last week, nor mention him in any of his public appearances, but met several times with his 84-year-old brother Raúl Castro, the current Cuban president.

It was the first visit of a sitting US president since President Calvin Coolidge visited the country 88 years ago.

'One assumes that every one of us ran the risk of a heart attack listening to these words,' Fidel Castro wrote in response to the US leader's words in his column, run by state media.

Bristling at Mr. Obama's offer to help Cuba, he said the country was able to produce the food and material riches it needs with the efforts of its people.

'My modest suggestion is that he reflects and doesn't try to develop theories about Cuban politics.

'We don't need the empire to give us any presents,' Castro added.

Now I hope you're sitting down because this one is over the top even for Josh Earnest!!!

Obama calls on journalists to hold themselves and candidates to higher standard

If that was their standard practice... Barry would never have become president!

-------------------------------------

WASHINGTON

President Obama on Monday again bemoaned the political environment surrounding the presidential elections and called on journalists to hold candidates and themselves to a higher standard.

"I know I'm not the only one who may be more than a little dismayed about what's happening on the campaign trail right now -- the divisive and often vulgar rhetoric that's aimed at everybody but often is focused on the vulnerable or women or minorities," he said.

Some may be more to blame than others, the president said, but all of us are responsible for reversing it.

Mr. Obama spoke at the presentation of the Toner Prize, named for Robin Toner, the first woman to be national political correspondent for The New York Times. During her nearly 25 years there, Toner covered five presidential campaigns. She passed away in 2008.

The president said the number one question he gets when traveling the world is "What is happening in America?" He said it's because people abroad understand America is the place where you "can't afford completely crazy politics," and they care about the most powerful nation on earth functioning effectively.

"We are all invested in making this system work. We are all responsible for its success, and it's not just for the United States that this matters, it matters for the planet," Mr. Obama said.

Mr. Obama returned from his trip to Cuba last week and recalled the news conference he held jointly with Cuban President Raul Castro. He described the event as remarkable as the two leaders were forced to answer tough questions that were televised to Cubans, and the world.

"I don't know exactly what it will mean for Cuba's future," he said. "I think it made a big difference to the Cuban people. I can't think of a better example of why a free press is so vital to freedom."

Obama called on the broadcast networks and producers to give reporters room to follow their instincts and dig deeper. He said Toner proved that something can be substantive and interesting. He said elections to her were not a horse race, or about scoring the most political points, but were about issues.

"A job well done is about more than just handing someone a microphone. It's to probe and to question and to dig deeper and to demand more," the president said. "The electorate would be better served if that happened. It would be better served if billions of dollars in free media came with serious accountability, especially when politicians issue unworkable plans or make promises they cannot keep."

He says he understands there are pressures "to feed the beast" with more gossipy, softer stories, but that leads to consumers failing to understand the world as well as they should, which has consequences for the country.

The point of politics, the president said, is not just the amassing of power - it's what you do with the power that's been lent to you.

The Toner Prize was awarded to ProPublica's Alec MacGillis for stories on campaign finance, lobbying and other influences on politics and governance.

ISIS reportedly planning attack targeting Jewish children in Turkey

Terrorists from the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) have advanced plans to murder Jewish children in Turkey, targeting kindergartens, schools and youth centres, Sky News can reveal.

Information on what intelligence officials are describing as an "imminent" attack was obtained from six operatives from the "Caliphate" who were arrested in the southern city of Gaziantep over the last week.

The most likely target of an attack is Istanbul's synagogue in Beyoglu, which also has a community centre and a school attached to it.

"In light of these circumstances, extraordinary security measures are being taken above and beyond the high alert level already in place by the Turkish police, as well as vigilance within the Jewish community," an intelligence source told Sky News. "Undercover and other covert counter-terror measures are being implemented around the clock.

"This is a more than credible threat. This is an active plot," the source added.

The series of threats and the specific targeting of Jewish children follow the deadly attack in Istanbul on March 19 when five people were killed by a suicide bomber, including four Israelis, and the murder of another 35 in Brussels last week.

An intelligence report seen by Sky News said: "The so-called Islamic State is believed to be behind both sets of attacks and the organisation continues in determined efforts to perpetrate further attacks in Turkey and elsewhere."

The latest intelligence has emerged as spy agencies struggle to co-ordinate their response to the scale of the threat that is now perceived to exist across Europe.

Turkey has absorbed close to three million refugees and there is strong evidence that several members of the Paris and Brussels cell, who have European origins, had travelled to Syria for training and then been smuggled back, hidden in the waves of refugees seeking safety in Europe.

Now it is coming under increasing terrorist pressure from ISIS and Kurdish separatists.

The threat against Jewish targets, intelligence sources said, was the best information gathered on an imminent attack.

"We don't know when it's scheduled for. It could be in the next 24 hours or next few days," the source said.

Hillary Clinton's email problem apparently started with her BlackBerry 'addiction'

Starting to wonder when this will occur.

------------------------------------------------

The FBI is scheduling interviews with Hillary Clinton's senior aides when she was secretary of state, signaling that the Justice Department's inquiries into Clinton's use of a private email server is "moving into its final phases," the Los Angeles Timesreports. The FBI has reportedly concluded its background work and needs to speak with Clinton's inner circle, and perhaps Clinton herself, to figure out what the Clinton team was thinking. And while Clinton "faces little risk of being prosecuted," the Times reports, the email flap will "continue to dog Clinton's presidential campaign" and "could cause some political heartburn when the aides are questioned."

(Setting us up for the wrist slap?)

It turns out "Clinton's email problems began in her first days as secretary of state," The Washington Post reports in a long look at what, in fact, Clinton and her team appeared to be thinking. Clinton didn't use a desktop computer and wanted to continue using her BlackBerry, but the diplomatic security corps did not want her to use it in her secure office suite, known as Mahogany Row, out of concern that it could be hacked and used as a listening device, The Post said, citing Clinton's trove of released emails and dozens of interviews:

On Feb. 17, 2009, less than a month into Clinton's tenure, the issue came to a head. Department security, intelligence and technology specialists, along with five officials from the National Security Agency, gathered in a Mahogany Row conference room. They explained the risks to Cheryl Mills, Clinton's chief of staff, while also seeking "mitigation options" that would accommodate Clinton's wishes. "The issue here is one of personal comfort," one of the participants in that meeting, Donald Reid, the department's senior coordinator for security infrastructure, wrote afterward in an email that described Clinton's inner circle of advisers as "dedicated [BlackBerry] addicts." [The Washington Post]

In an email Reid sent five days before the meeting, he indicated that the NSA had signaled they would not set Clinton up with a secure "BlackBerry-like" device, because it would be expensive and "not too user friendly," adding: "Each time we asked the question 'What was the solution for POTUS?' we were politely told to shut up and color." You can read the entire deep dig into the origins of Clinton's email scandal at The Washington Post. Peter Weber

Wolves slaughter 19 elk in 'sport killing'

Must have contracted the ISIS virus.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Nineteen elk, mostly calves, were found dead several days ago at a feeding ground near Bondurant, a town southeast of Jackson, said John Lund of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. A contractor delivering feed to the herd discovered the dead animals.

"There is a significant concern among wildlife managers," he said, noting that there are no reports of wolves attacking humans. "Our concern is big game."

But there's nothing the state agency can do, he said. Wolves are federally protected and managed.
In 2012, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service planned to take wolves off the endangered list and turn over management of the animals to Wyoming, according to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department website. That would have allowed state-regulated hunting of wolves.

But a federal judge ruled in 2014 that wolves remain under federal control and be relisted as an endangered species.
The federal agency could kill wolves that are attacking livestock but not wildlife, said Mike Jiminez, the wildlife service's Northern Rocky Mountain Wolf coordinator, according to the Casper Star Tribune.
Wolves, once nearly extinct, were reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park in the mid-1990s, according to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department website. The number of wolves grew and spread across the region.

Hillary Clinton Wants To Use Obamacare For Illegal Immigrants

This is simply astonishing to me she chose to run on this platform and still hopes to be POTUS. My first thought was...what idiot would vote for her? Then I remembered none of her supporters care about the email scandal...why would they care about this?

---------------------------------------

Hillary Clinton wants to use Obamacare to provide health coverage for illegal immigrants.

In an interview with Anderson Cooper as part of CNN’s presidential primetime event Monday, Clinton said, “It’s not only the right and moral thing to do for them, it’s also important that we keep ourselves healthy and public health requires that.”

Cooper asked Clinton, “[A]re you in favor of extending Obamacare to undocumented immigrants” and the former Secretary of State replied, “There are two steps here. If someone can afford to pay for an insurance policy off the exchanges that were set up under the Affordable Care Act, I support that.”

“Even if they are undocumented?” Cooper followed up.

“Yes,” Clinton replied. Adding, “If they can afford it, they should be able to go into the marketplace and buy it. But it is not going to apply to people who are in need of subsidies in order to afford that because the subsidies question has to be worked out in comprehensive immigration reform.”

“And what I do want to see is that we have more options for undocumented people to be able to get the health care they need,” Clinton said.

What message does this send? This is supposed to act as a deterrent to stop illegals from coming here?  Hell...it's a welcome mat!

Obama tells Belgians ‘America has their back’

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama took time off from his tango class to offer his prayers for the families of the two Americans killed in the bombings in Brussels and telling Belgians that “America has their back” in the fight against terrorism.

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama is renewing his vow to continue the tango I mean campaign against the Islamic State, which took credit for the attacks. He says U.S. officials are working with allies to root out the group’s operations in Europe.

Obama says U.S. officials have ramped up intelligence cooperation and that FBI agents are now rounding up terrorists teaching them the tango instead of waterboarding them in the hope it will catch on and put an end to the bombings.

The president says he and his allies will review the Gitmo release policy and release only those proficient in the tango.

So far it hasn't caught on very well.

Mark Levin: ‘I Fear We’re Going To Get Blown Out’ Because Of Trump’s ‘Tweeting Problems’

As I said before I'm not a huge fan of Trump. “I just don’t think he has the character or temperament to be POTUS. I believe in a lot of what he says but his personal attacks are totally uncalled for and way over the top. If he could just keep is big mouth shut and act presidential maybe things would be different but I can't see that happening. When Mark Levin says something you better take notice.

----------------------------------------

During the Thursday broadcast of his radio show, Mark Levin stated he worries Republicans are “going to get blown out” in the general election.

“Do you think this is going to help the Republicans win?” Levin said of the spousal-feud waged by Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. “No.”

(This is what I'm talking about. Totally out of bounds. Can you imagine Reagan saying this about  Rosalynn Carter?)

“As a matter of fact, I’m starting to think we’re not going to win. It’s actually been in the back of my mind for some time now,” he added. “I fear we’re going to get blown out, and part of it is tactics, and part of it — quite frankly — is Donald Trump’s tweeting problems.”

“He tweets like he has Tourette’s, like he’s obsessed. Nothing personal, but it gets crazier and crazier, and it’s turning off more and more people.”

Levin additionally stated that though Trump still has high support among blue-collar workers, he is “bleeding” support in almost every other demographic.

“These negative numbers are coming in big time. A negative view of Trump: 70 percent of women, 72 percent of millennials, 83 percent of blacks, 77 percent of Hispanics. Here you go, 68 percent of suburbanites.”

“I can smell this. It doesn’t smell good.”
