Milwaukee riots: Violence in US city after police shoot dead armed 23-year-old in African-American community

There's no winning here. Where is the RULE OF LAW?

(Somehow you just knew he was going to have a bright future)

Oh...and 99 out of 100 rioters couldn't tell you his name.

Another "saint" with a long rap sheet carrying a stolen gun, ordered to drop it, and wouldn't. So now, if the thugs are armed or not it doesn't matter. The new code of conduct is what?
The cops have to hold off unless they're shot at first?

The incident occurred in one of the city's most impoverished, and predominantly African-American, neighborhoods. And you can bet your predominantly bottom dollar that's where the crime is going to be. They don't call it the "hood" for nothing. Blacks are shot for a reason. Not because of racism. But because they commit the vast majority of the crimes. As I said a million times before. They're never doing anything wrong but for some strange reason they wind up getting shot. Which is fine in the black community... unless they're shot by a cop.

This happened on July 25th

Still waiting for BLM to show up.

Violence has erupted overnight in the US city of Milwaukee after a police officer shot and killed an armed man in an African-American community.

Protesters hurled bricks and fired gunshots at police cars and set a gas station on fire.

The violence came hours after the patrol officer shot and killed the 23-year-old a pursuit that followed a traffic stop.

Milwaukee police said a uniformed officer had opened fire while chasing the man.

Neither the race of the suspect nor the officer were disclosed by authorities, though the dead man's age was given as 23.

The incident occurred in one of the city's most impoverished, and predominantly African-American, neighborhoods.

A police car with broken windows is seen in a photograph released by the Milwaukee Police Department

The suspect, who the department said had a lengthy arrest record, was armed with a stolen handgun.

It did not say whether the man fired any shots during the incident. Mayor Tom Barrett said the gun was loaded with 23 rounds.

A crowd later broke the windows of an unoccupied squad car and set another one on fire before setting a gas station ablaze.

"Our city is in turmoil tonight," said Alderman Ashanti Hamilton, president of the Milwaukee Common Council.

Authorities believe fires were set at a total of three locations, the mayor said, and firefighters were initially unable to combat the blazes because of shots being fired .

The disturbances were the latest in a series of protests that have gripped U.S. cities - including Baton Rouge, Dallas, Ferguson, Missouri, New York and Oakland - over the past two years in the wake of killings by law enforcement officers.

All of the previous incidents involved young African-American males, giving rise to the Black Lives Matter movement.

"This is a warning cry," said Alderman Khalif Rainey. "Black people of Milwaukee are tired. They are tired of living under this oppression."

Firefighters were battling a second large blaze at an auto parts store near the scene. A local NBC affiliate also aired video of firefighters at bank where smoke was rising out of its front window.

The identity of the armed suspect shot dead has not yet been released

One officer was hit in the head by a brick thrown through a squad car window. Protesters fired shots and hurled rocks as police attempted to disperse the crowd, which local media reported numbered more than 100.

Three arrests were made in the city in connection with the unrest, said Assistant Police Chief James Harpole, adding that multiple gunshots were fired from various locations during the disturbances.

Police cars have also been shot at in the city

The officer involved in the shooting of the suspect was on administrative duty during the investigation and subsequent review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

Milwaukee Police Assistant Chief Bill Jessup told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that it was not clear if the suspect pointed the gun or fired at the officers.

"Those additional facts will come out in the coming days," Jessup was quoted as saying.

FBI mutiny? U.S attorney Preet Bharara to open criminal investigation into the Clinton Foundation

Having detailed Clinton-appointee Loretta Lynch's DOJ push-back against the FBI's Clinton Foundation probe, it seems Director Comey has decided to flex his own muscles and save face as Daily Caller reports, multiple FBI investigations are underway involving potential corruption charges against the Clinton Foundation, according to a former senior law enforcement official.

At the time, three field offices were in agreement an investigation should be launched after the FBI received notification from a bank of suspicious activity from a foreigner who had donated to the Clinton Foundation, according to the official.

FBI officials wanted to investigate whether there was a criminal conflict of interest with the State Department and the Clinton Foundation during Clinton's tenure.

The Department of Justice had looked into allegations surrounding the foundation a year earlier after the release of the controversial book "Clinton Cash," but found them to be unsubstantiated and there was insufficient evidence to open a case.

DOJ officials pushed back against opening a case during the meeting earlier this year.

Some also expressed concern the request seemed more political than substantive, especially given the timing of it coinciding with the investigation into the private email server and Clinton's presidential campaign.

However, as DailyCaller reports, the FBI is undertaking multiple investigations involving potential corruption charges against The Clinton Foundation.

The investigation centers on New York City where the Clinton Foundation has its main offices, according to the former official who has direct knowledge of the activities.

Prosecutorial support will come from various U.S. Attorneys Offices — a major departure from other centralized FBI investigations.

The New York-based probe is being led by Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.

The official said, "involvement of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York would be seen by agents as a positive development as prosecutors there are generally thought to be more aggressive than the career lawyers within the DOJ.”

The former official said the investigation is being coordinated between bureau field offices and FBI managers at headquarters in Washington, D.C. The unusual process would ensure senior FBI supervisors, including Director James Comey, would be kept abreast of case progress and of significant developments.

The reliance on U.S. attorneys would be a significant departure from the centralized manner in which the FBI managed the investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server and email addresses.

That investigation was conducted by agents at FBI headquarters, who coordinated with the Department of Justice’s National Security Division (NSD).

While Nicholas Biase, a spokesman for Bharara, said he would “decline comment," and FBI spokeswoman Samantha Shero said, “we do not have a comment on investigative activity,” we wonder if the unusual procedures and the tone of that comment suggests a mutinous FBI standing up to the politicized Department of Justice?

DC article...hope it's true

EXCLUSIVE: Joint FBI-US Attorney Probe Of Clinton Foundation Is Underway

Multiple FBI investigations are underway involving potential corruption charges against the Clinton Foundation, according to a former senior law enforcement official.

Bharara’s prosecutorial aggressiveness has resulted in a large number of convictions of banks, hedge funds and Wall Street insiders.

The official said involvement of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York “would be seen by agents as a positive development as prosecutors there are generally thought to be more aggressive than the career lawyers within the DOJ.”

Bharara’s official biography notes that he, “has applied renewed focus on large-scale, sophisticated financial frauds by creating two new units – the Complex Frauds Unit and the complementary Civil Frauds Unit.

“The Civil Frauds Unit has collected close to $500 million in settlements since its inception, including multi-million dollar settlements with Deutsche Bank and CitiMortgage for faulty lending practices and other fraudulent conduct.”

Nicholas Biase, a spokesman for Bharara, said he would “decline comment.” Similarly, FBI spokeswoman Samantha Shero said, “we do not have a comment on investigative activity.”

Bharara is best known for securing convictions of prominent political figures, including former New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver. Silver had a seemingly intractable grip on power in the state for decades. He was convicted of accepting $4 million in exchange for helping a cancer researcher and two real estate developers.

He also secured the conviction of New York Republican Majority Leader Dean Skelos, who was sentenced to five years in prison for corruption.

That investigation was conducted with agents at FBI headquarters, who coordinated with the Department of Justice’s National Security Division (NSD).

The Clinton email probe was considered a “small cell” investigation, with FBI agents and NSD attorneys frequently conferring. Comey short-circuited the effort in early July by announcing that “no reasonable prosecutor” would try Clinton for the “careless” handling of classified material.

“Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information,” he announced in a July 5 press conference.

Comey, however, wouldn’t answer questions about any ongoing FBI investigation of the Clinton Foundation.

Before a July 7 congressional hearing about his decision not to recommend prosecution of Clinton, Comey told House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz, “I’m not going to comment on the existence or nonexistence of other investigations.”

“Was the Clinton Foundation tied into this investigation?” Chaffetz persisted.

“I’m not going to answer that,” Comey replied.

In its 15 years of operations, the Clinton Foundation, formally known as the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, has collected up to $2 billion from donors, according to The Washington Post. The donors include a wide range of the world’s wealthiest people: Eastern European tycoons, Arab Sheiks, African mining magnates, hedge fund billionaires and Wall Street firms.

The Post reported that the couple brought in $3 billion when campaign contributions are included in the total. “The Clintons’ fundraising operation — $3 billion amassed by one couple, working in tandem for more than four decades — has no equal,” the Post reported in a wide-ranging investigation into the sources of the couple’s funds.

In a related development Thursday, CNN reported that earlier this year, Justice Department officials in three different field offices “were in agreement a public corruption investigation should be launched” of Clinton Foundation activities.

The probe was sparked by a bank notifying the FBI of “suspicious activity” around a foreign donor to the Clinton Foundation, according to Pamela Brown, CNN’s Justice Department reporter.

Had it been launched, that investigation would have looked at conflicts of interest between requests by foreign donors and official acts by Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. CNN did not identify the bank or the foreign donor.

Brown reported the FBI and Justice Department officials met but there was “disagreement” whether to launch such an investigation. In the end, the investigation was killed.

A separate investigation was approved, however, focusing on Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who was a member of the Clinton Foundation’s board of directors for most if its existence.

NFL denies Cowboys' request to wear decal honoring fallen Dallas officers

But the NFL and the NBA are OK with this crap.

Surprised they didn't have a decal of St. Michael on their helmet.

And as we all know everyone of this l-o-n-g list of thugs was in Holy Family church in the pew, kneeling, the rosary draped over their fingers, when suddenly they were shot in the back by a cop.

---------------------------------------------------------

The NFL denied the Dallas Cowboys’ request to wear a decal on their helmets during the season that would have paid tribute to the five police officers killed last month in an ambush.

The team had been wearing a decal with the words “Arm in Arm” since the first day of training camp this summer. Dallas police Chief David Brown and Mayor Mike Rawlings paid the team a visit on that day, according to Fox 4 News.

The NFL’s strict rules on uniforms forced the league to deny the Cowboys’ request to wear the decal for the upcoming season.

Dallas police said it appreciated the Cowboys’ support.

“Their concern for the families of our fallen officers, the Dallas Police Department, and the City of Dallas is what matters most, and we know that support will continue for the immediate and long term future,” the department said in a statement.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and tight end Jason Witten, who created the decal, said they were disappointed with the league’s decision but said they believed the stickers already served its purpose.

The Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation told TMZ they were “extremely upset” over the NFL’s decision.

"The NFL had an opportunity to be leaders and advocates for change in law enforcement," Sgt. Demetrick Pennie, president of the foundation, told the website. “"These are our friends and our loved ones ... it hurts to not have the NFL fully support us.”

Dallas will kick-off its preseason schedule against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.

Another Vince Foster?

Assange implies murdered DNC staffer was WikiLeaks' source

4 dead in Benghazi...Foster's strange suicide...and now Seth Rich shot in the back in an apparent robbery but the "robber" forgot to take his watch and wallet. She probably told Bernie if you openly attack me at the DNC you and your wife won't make it back to Vermont.

------------------------------------------------

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange implied in an interview that a murdered Democratic National Committee staffer was the source of a trove of damaging emails the rogue website posted just days before the party's convention.

Speaking to Dutch television program Nieuswsuur Tuesday after earlier announcing a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Seth Rich's killer, Assange said the July 10 murder of Rich in Northwest Washington was an example of the risk leakers undertake.

"Whistle-blowers go to significant efforts to get us material and often very significant risks," Assange said. "As a 27-year-old, works for the DNC, was shot in the back, murdered just a few weeks ago for unknown reasons as he was walking down the street in Washington."

When the interviewer interjected that the murder may have been a robbery, Assange pushed back.

"No," he said. "There’s no finding. So… I’m suggesting that our sources take risks."

When pressed as to whether Rich was, in fact, the leaker, Assange stated that the organization does not reveal its sources.

Police have said they believe the motive was robbery, and that there is no evidence Rich's murder was connected to his work. But Rich's father has said the 4 a.m. murder, in which Rich was shot several times from behind, did not appear to be a robbery, as his son's wallet and watch were not taken.

When police found Rich, he was still conscious and breathing. He was transported to a hospital where he later died. No witnesses have come forward and police have no suspects. The WikiLeaks reward adds to a $25,000 reward posted by Washington police.

WikiLeaks’ email dump of DNC files, which embarrassed the party and showed possible collusion to block Bernie Sanders from the nomination, occurred 12 days after his death. Rich was the DNC’s director of voter expansion.

Washington Police Assistant Chief Peter Newsham said the department appreciates WikiLeaks offering of a reward.

“We're very pleased if anyone is going to assist us with giving reward money," Newsham added.

The 45-year-old Assange is founder and editor-in-chief of WikiLeaks, which touts itself as a nonprofit journalistic organization. WikiLeaks specializes in publishing online leaked documents and classified information gleaned from an international network of secret sources.

The Australian has been subject to extradition to Sweden since 2010, wher he is wanted for questioning in a rape case that his supporters claim is a pretext to muzzle his efforts. He has been holed up in Ecuador's United Kingdom embassy since he was granted asylum there in August 2012.

Assange participated in the interview from inside the embassy.
