Depending on what report you read the death toll in Syria is hovering around 400,000. As we all know Bashar al-Assad is killing his own people. He's the reason millions of Muslims have left Syria and have overwhelmed Europe. Why one man is allowed to commit this mass carnage and is still living is beyond me.
One aspect stands out about the slaughter is the world's reaction towards the method of their demise. If they're blown to bits it's taken in stride. But by God you better not gas anybody!!! We learned that from our previous fearless leader...'redline in the sand' Barry.
My point is this. I don't have the facts to back this up but I would say probably less than 2% of the 400,000 have died from a gas attack. Why the emphasis on these attacks? Shouldn't the focus be on the total devastation? If one is blown to bits or gassed aren't they just as dead?
My final thought is how much longer can this continue? If Trump doesn't kill Assad the whole armada sent to Syria was a waste of time and money. More bads news... Assad has probably taken his military weapons planes, etc and is storing them on a nearby Russian airbase.
Let's pray Trump gets Assad.

(Reuters) - The following are highlights from U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks on Friday announcing military strikes targeting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's chemical weapons capabilities after a poison gas attack that killed at least 60 people last week.
- "A short time ago, I ordered the United States Armed Forces to launch precision strikes on targets associated with the chemical weapons capabilities of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. A combined operation with the armed forces of France and the United Kingdom is now underway. We thank them both."
