U.S. has intel that Osama bin Laden's son and heir, Hamza, is dead, officials say

Good...let the prick sleep with the fishes just like his old man!

WASHINGTON — The United States has obtained intelligence that the son and potential successor of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, Hamza bin Laden, is dead, according to three U.S. officials.

The officials would not provide details of where or when Hamza bin Laden died or if the U.S. played a role in his death. It is unclear if the U.S. has confirmed his death.

Asked by reporters on Wednesday whether the U.S. had intelligence that Hamza is dead, President Donald Trump said, "I don't want to comment on that."

Hamza bin Laden's last known public statement was released by al Qaeda's media arm in 2018. In that message, he threatened Saudi Arabia and called on the people of the Arabian peninsula to revolt.

Hamza bin Laden is believed to have been born around 1989. His father moved to Afghanistan in 1996 and declared war against the U.S. Hamza went with him and appeared in al Qaeda propaganda videos. As leader of al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden oversaw operations against Western targets that culminated in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on New York's World Trade Center and on the Pentagon.

Navy SEALS killed Osama bin Laden in 2011 during a raid on his Abbottabad, Pakistan, compound. Hamza was not found at the compound. Letters seized from the compound suggested the elder bin Laden wanted his son to join him in Abbottabad and was grooming him as a leader.

In a September 2017 article, counterterror expert and former FBI agent Ali Soufan said, "Hamza is being prepared for a leadership role in the organization his father founded" and is "likely to be perceived favorably by the jihadi rank-and-file. With the Islamic State’s ‘caliphate’ apparently on the verge of collapse, Hamza is now the figure best placed to reunify the global jihadi movement."

In February, the State Department announced it would pay as much as $1 million for information on Hamza bin Laden's whereabouts.

The department's Rewards for Justice Program described the younger bin Laden on Twitter as "an emerging al Qaeda leader" who "has threatened attacks against the United States and allies."

Shouldn't the mayor be branded a racist?

Before you get started looks like Trump and Pugh (great name) agree Baltimore’s a shithole.

HUD official Lynne Patton says $16 billion recently given to Baltimore. Wants to know, where’d it go?

Conehead likes to conduct investigations. How about investigating what happened to the $16 billion?

Rat Runs Through Live Shot Of Baltimore

A rat ran through a live shot of Baltimore during a local news outlet’s coverage of the controversy surrounding Trump’s tweets that the city is “rat-infested.”

During a FOX45’s live shot of an empty lot in Sandtown-Winchester, a rat quickly scurried across just as reporter Maxine Streicher said city residences would like to see President Trump visit Baltimore. (RELATED: Baltimore Rat Infestation Is So Bad They Made A Documentary About It 2 Years Ago)

“Now, we spoke with many people today, who say the president should consider coming here to Baltimore, to the Sandtown area, and taking a look at things for himself,” said Streicher as the camera shows a rat emerging from a pile of trash.

WATCH:

In September of last year, the Former Mayor of Baltimore Catherine Pugh commented on how you could smell “the rats” and “dead animals” in some of the cities poorest areas.

“What the hell? We should just take all this sh*t down,” said Pugh. “Whoa, you can smell the rats…whew, Jesus.”

Pugh exclaims, “Oh my God, you can smell the dead animals.”

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh: "You can smell the rats!"

Since Trump’s weekend tweets condemning Rep. Elijah Cummings for not focusing on his own district and claiming that it was “rat-infested” members of the press and Democratic party have condemned the President comments as racist.

On Tuesday, the President double-downed on his tweets and blamed Cummings for Baltimore’s shortcomings.

“As you know, Congressman Cummings has been there for a very long time. He has had an iron hand on it. It is a corrupt city, all you have to do is look at the facts,” Trump said. “The government over the years has pumped in billions and billions of dollars to no avail. To absolutely no avail.”

The president continued,” I’ve received more phone calls than I think on any subject from people of Baltimore and other cities corruptly run by Democrats thanking me for getting involved.” He finished by saying,” Those people are living in hell.”

‘Hannity’ & Fox News Top Monthly Ratings Again, MSNBC Hits Trump Era Demo Low

Sean Hannity will be competing with the first night of the CNN-hosted Democratic debates tonight, but the Fox News Channel host likely won’t even get a scratch when it comes to the ratings.

Holding steady with last year and last month, Donald Trump’s favorite 9 PM show was again the most watched on cable news in July. Up 4% from June and dipping the same from the Brett Kavanaugh-dominated cycle of last year, Hannity was tops for a fourth month in a row with 3.3 million viewers and 527,000 viewers in the adults 25-54 news demographic.

Speaking of that demo, Hannity was down 21% from this time last year and up 6% from last month, which was also the end of the second quarter of the year. No big surprises there — FNC’s dedicated base made sure the Rupert Murdoch-owned outlet won that too.

Coming in with a total audience of with 3.14 million, Tucker Carlson Tonight was the second most watched cable news show of the month, followed by fellow FNCers The Ingraham Angle (2.6 million) and The Five (2.5 million). MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show was the only non-Fox News show to make it in the Top 5 this month, tripping into fifth place with 2.3 million viewers.

In fact, July was not a good month overall for the NBCUniversal-owned MSNBC.

First, top-rated Maddow was down in a month that launched with the outlet hosting the first round of Democratic presidential debates. Then, snagging a result of just 125,000 for total day, MSNBC had its least-watched month among the 25-54s since the former Celebrity Apprentice host moved into the White House in January 2017 – and that’s with Robert Mueller’s much-hyped congressional hearings on July 24.

(Don't worry Rae the muffdivers are still watching)

Still, in all categories except total day demo, MSNBC was ahead of CNN – who had their much-promoted debate candidates’ lottery draw on the week before last.

Looking at the primetime numbers, CNN and MSNBC was both almost uniformly down double digits in total day and primetime viewers and demo compared to the midterms lead-up of the summer of 2018. Total day viewership saw CNN stumble 13% and MSNBC decline 7% with 32% and 29% drops in the demo respectively. In primetime, it was 11% and 10% in viewers and 32% and 28% respectively in the 25-54s.

In the battle between that top cable newsers that aren’t owned by an Australian mogul, MSNBC beat CNN for the 29th month in a row in total day viewers.

Capturing a very small victory but avoiding defeat, Fox was actually up 1% in viewers in both categories against its past performances. The outlet was down 10% and 15% in total day and primetime demo results compared to July 2018.

Clearly the happy dance party was in another part of FNC HQ – and it was one the opposition couldn’t crash if they wanted to.

With it was 2.43 million on average for FNC, the outlet swarmed MSNBC’s 1.5 million and the Jeff Zucker-run WarnerMedia outlet’s meek 797,000 in primetime, according to Nielsen. Among the 25-54 demo in primetime, FNC averaged 378,000 viewers for the month to MSNBC’s 222,000 and CNN’s 201,000. Expanding the scope to total day, Fox News snared an average of 1.4 million viewers to MSNBC’s 852,000 and CNN’s 557,000. Narrowing in on total day demo, CNN had a rare second-place pole with 131,000 viewers to Fox News’ 237,000 and MSNBC’s 125,000.

The beating continued outside of primetime too.

FOX News @ Night with Shannon Bream snared 1.4 million viewers and 279,000 in the 25-54 demo for the month in the 11 PM ET slot. That thrashed MSNBC’s The 11th Hour with Brian Williams for the fifth consecutive month among the 25-54s. A pounding that saw the once disgraced NBC Nightly News anchor’s cable show getting its MSNBC’s The 11th Hour with Brian Williams hit its second-worst demo rating since its September 2016 debut.

In case, you didn’t feel there was enough math here – chew on this, July 2018 was the second month in a row that FNC has been #1 in all of cable in primetime. The sweltering month that ends tomorrow is also the 37th month that Fox News has been the most-watched network on basic cable in total day.

Add that up, fair and balanced.

Democrats Have Lost What Was Left Of Their Minds

Source: AP Photo/Susan Walsh

Imagine being a Democrat right now. You have the House, and the Republican majority in the Senate is small. In the race for the presidency, you have every advantage with the exception of incumbency. Yes, the economy is booming but there isn’t a mainstream media or cultural institution that isn’t on your side and willing to do anything to help you win. All you have to do is not act crazy and you’re 99 percent of the way home. And that’s the problem, there are no longer any sane Democrats.

The House hearing with Robert Mueller on Wednesday was supposed to be their shining moment, their chance to rally the country to their thus far rejected cause. Instead, it was another in a long line of flops. After watching it, I wanted to call a hotline too, as I put it in my podcast, report a shameless display of elder abuse.

It’s true that Mueller didn’t want to be there, but it appears everyone was wrong about the reason why. He’s not “above the fray,” as he was portrayed by liberals, he’s lost a lot of steps. Most shockingly, the hearing exposed that he was, at best, barely involved in the investigation. He was a name to put on the letterhead to give it gravitas and the appearance of bipartisanship.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5x6Pj8W4mPc

Mueller didn't know shit from Shinola about the IRS investigation either.
Why?
Because there wasn't any.

The hearing left those who watched it with the realization he was an autopen to sign off on subpoenas, letters, and the final report. I’d feel pity for him were there not so much destruction in his wake. No matter how many steps he’s lost, he knew he was driving people into bankruptcy chasing a unicorn and he sat there, silently, hammering paychecks.

But Mueller’s embarrassing testimony wasn’t the only problem for Democrats. They had to polish that turd, no matter what. This was their moment in the sun.

Democrats are running out of silver bullets to take out President Trump. First, they thought he’d implode. He didn’t. They said he’d destroy the economy, it’s thriving. They swore he colluded with Russia. He didn’t. The promised the Mueller report would change minds. It didn’t. They switched their focus to obstruction of justice. No one cared.

After dozens of unfulfilled promises and shifting goalposts, even with so many advantages working for them and a team of investigators with unlimited power, they have nothing. Because facts matter, evidence matters. So much of the past 2 years has been spent trying to change that, trying to “fundamentally transform” the country into something it was created to be the opposite of, and they failed. They’re handling it about as well as you’d expect.

On Wednesday, CNN and MSNBC were worth watching, for once. It was like watching the kid who annoyed everyone in elementary school learn their parents never loved them. They and Congressional Democrats wanted a way out. But it’s too late, they’re pot-committed.

By the next day, they were back to their old form, calling for impeachment because, well, just because. The alternative would be to talk about their ideas – socialized medicine, American taxpayer-funded health insurance for illegal aliens, open borders, higher taxes, etc. They don’t want the public knowing that’s what they’re advocating for any more than the American public wants it.

Donald Trump’s existence and persistence is Chinese water torture to the left, and they’re at the breaking point. They’re down to the last gift box on Christmas morning and they know the “official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle” not only isn’t in it, but it’s also not hiding behind the desk either.

They simultaneously declare impeachment proceedings must begin now because “no one, not even the President, is above the law,” without offering evidence of a crime beyond existing wrong in their eyes. They also do it while advising illegal aliens on how to thwart our immigration laws and avoid consequences. It seems some people are, in fact, above the law.

The drooling and incoherence will continue, as will the digging. Democrats know they’re drilling a dry well, but as long as they’re still drilling they can keep those on the hook from realizing they’re being hoodwinked.

And that’s where the Democrats are now – they’re the homeless guy losing an argument to a lamppost on a street corner. If they had the capacity to be sane, or even fake it for a while, they’d be doing it. Reality and the public’s understanding of it has taken the last sliver of rational thought they had and with it their dignity. Donald Trump’s success and Robert Mueller’s testimony has driven them to the edge of crazy. On the plus side for them, the carbon footprint was very small since it was a very short drive.

Melania and Donald Trump Will Host Second State Dinner After Obamas Outpace Them

Kind of sad... and the best they could come up with? Newsweek is so desperate to revitalize their heroes they're going to use state dinners as a yardstick to judge Trump knowing he has run circles around the previous occupants in all meaningful categories. So much so Barry has tried taking credit for the economy.

----------------------

The Trumps on Monday announced they will hold their second state dinner in September, approaching their third year in the White House, at which point the Obamas had already held five.

And as a reward for their accomplishment, they got a $65 million book deal!

First Lady Melania Trump, as of late afternoon Monday, had not tweeted about the event, but the White House's announcement stated, "The President and First Lady will welcome Prime Minister and Mrs. Morrison of Australia to the White House on September 20, 2019, for an official visit, which will include a state dinner."

Melania Trump, who faced some criticism over how she planned the first state dinner for French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, is expected to follow tradition and take charge of the second state dinner as well.

"The First Lady and her staff are responsible for the elaborate planning and attention behind the glitter and ceremony of the state dinner," a White House Historical Association article states. "These formal dinners involve the creation of invitations and guest lists, menus, flowers, table settings, seating arrangements and entertainment for the evening. The First Lady works closely with her social secretary, the executive residence staff and the State Department to coordinate every detail of this very special event."

White House officials who work with Melania Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Newsweek on Monday about her plans for the second state dinner.

"The visit will celebrate our two countries' close friendship and shared history, and reaffirm our common vision for global peace, security, and prosperity," the White House's release on the matter stated.

Melania Trump was criticized in April 2018 for the first state dinner's small guest list that had no Democratic Congress members. She also raised eyebrows for choosing Clinton White House china for the main course and selecting cherry blossoms like the Obamas did.

The first lady's then-spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham at the time pushed back on doubts around Melania Trump's success at planning the event.

"We're probably not going to get the credit we deserve, but I know this team is great and she knows this team is great," Grisham told The New York Times. "We have not failed, and she has not failed."

While the Obamas were more welcoming to a variety of world leaders, President Trump seems happy to invite those who have long stood by him.

"There's no better or stronger or deeper relationship than the United States and Australia," Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who has led the country for less than a year after the ousting of his predecessor Malcolm Turnbull, said at a working dinner with Trump before G20 summit last month.

President Trump agreed and added, "we were just talking about the battles that we fought together," apparently referring to global trade wars.

Ilhan Omar Marriage Flummoxes Media Fact-Checkers

Taking 'All In The Family'
a step too far.

Media outlets scrambled to prove false the accusation Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) married her brother after President Donald Trump mentioned it, but none have been able to definitively reach an answer, largely due to Omar's unwillingness to provide information.

Trump was asked about the accusation that Omar's husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, was also her brother during a scrum with reporters last Wednesday and said he had heard talk that she married her brother but knew "nothing about it."

National media had largely kept away from judging the merits of the accusation that she was related to her second husband, which have circulated since her entry into politics in 2016, but after Trump's comment, many came to quick conclusions. CNN's Jim Acosta jumped in immediately to criticize Trump for diving in on "disgusting lies." The Daily Beast‘s Will Sommer published a lengthy piece on Friday that did little to nothing to debunk what he calls a "baseless smear."

The closest thing to evidence against the claim presented in Sommer's piece is a reference to a time Omar showed a Star Tribune reporter pictures on her cell phone of immigration documents with a list of members of her family. Sommer's piece fails to mention that Omar declined to provide copies of any of the documents to the reporter or allow him to make a record of the information he was briefly allowed to view.

Omar didn't respond to requests for comment from the Daily Beast. Her congressional office currently is alerting reporters through auto-reply that it's not responding to press inquiries, including one from the Free Beacon, into whether any other outlets have been shown documents Omar purports to be evidence against the claim she married her brother.

That one time Omar allowed a reporter to view documents on a cell phone was also the extent of substantial evidence against the claim presented in the New York Times fact-check of Omar's marriage. (The Times also uses faulty math to indicate, based on their dates of birth, that it's impossible for Omar and Elmi to have the same mother. It's not.)

PolitiFact, perhaps wisely, didn't dive into the marriage question after Trump's Wednesday remark, but rather went to the Star Tribune to ask about its attempts to gather facts needed to reach a conclusion. The Minnesota paper's political editor told PolitiFact his interest in the marriage controversy began because his reporters "we're not getting a lot of answers" from Omar on her incorrectly filed tax returns, in which she claimed to be married to her current husband, Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi when she, in fact, was not.

"My interest as an editor began with the silence she has maintained about her improper tax filings," said editor Kevin Diaz. "She would say only that she had corrected the 2014 and 2015 tax filings and would not divulge anything about why she had filed taxes with a man she was not married to when she was separated but still married to someone else."

After reviewing the dearth of evidence collected by those suggesting that Elmi was Omar's brother, Diaz assigned two reporters to come to a conclusion.

"We felt as journalists if there was smoke, it's our job to look behind it to see if there's fire," Diaz said.

The paper's biggest impediment to finding the truth was Omar, Diaz added.

"What's really made it hard is that she's been unwilling to address any of these questions," Diaz wrote. "That has fueled the controversy."

"We've asked her these questions, and also asked her to make her father available. We've tried to reach Elmi. We've tried to reach her sisters. Her family could put this (the question of Elmi's relationship to Omar) to rest easily. No one will talk to us. I wish we could send a reporter to Mogadishu (Somalia) but we don't have the bandwidth."

(Why...because in all likelihood, it's probably true)

Diaz currently says there is "circumstantial evidence that begs for some kind of explanation from a member of Congress," but his team is unable to reach a conclusion either way without more information from Omar. The Free Beacon has also been unable to come to a conclusion.

There is substantial evidence that her marriage to Elmi wasn't legitimate. Official records show, for example, that Omar continued to live with her current husband while she was married to Elmi, who is now living in the United Kingdom.

There is also a significant amount of evidence, in the form of official documents and scrubbed social media posts, suggesting there's a lot more to the story.

The Times wrote on Thursday that "no proof has emerged" to substantiate claims regarding Omar's marriage. It also did not speak to Omar, though it's unclear whether it requested any information or comment from her for its fact-check.

Omar has consistently been unwilling to answer questions since the allegation first surfaced. Her team's first on-the-record statement regarding whether she was married to her brother, to a PowerLine reporter in August 2016, was a refusal to answer questions.

"There are people who do not want an East African, Muslim woman elected to office and who will follow Donald Trump's playbook to prevent it," a campaign spokesman said, months before she was first elected. "Ilhan Omar's campaign will not be distracted by negative forces and will continue to focus its energy on creating positive engagement with community members to make the district and state more prosperous and equitable for everyone."

Continuing her pattern of selectively choosing what she wants to comment on, Omar last week refused to answer whether she would denounce al Qaeda terrorists.

Her office's only recent comment on the marriage issue has been an attempt to dissuade "legitimate media outlets" from investigating it.

"Whether by colluding with right-wing outlets to go after Muslim elected officials or hounding family members, legitimate media outlets have a responsibility not to fan the flames of hate," her office said. "Continuing to do so is not only demeaning to Ilhan, but to her entire family."

In other words, she whipped out the Islamophobe card.

If a Dem wins in 2020...

We are one election away from open borders, socialism, gun confiscation, and full-term abortion nationally.

Nearly 95 percent of foreign nationals in federal prison are illegal aliens, while the Bureau of Prisons data has revealed that about one-in-five inmates are foreign-born. There are close to 40,000 criminal illegal and legal immigrants incarcerated in federal prisons across the country, making up about 21 percent of the total federal prison population. Nearly all of those inmates are from Central and South America, resulting in a cost to U.S. taxpayers of about $1.4 billion every year.

And I'm sure if a Dem gets in these numbers will only soar.

VICTIMS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS

Oliver Stone asked (mass murderer) Vladimir Putin to be his daughter’s godfather

Had to rub my eyes for this one. If it was Trump the MSM would have him drawn and quartered!

 Oh...and I could see bug-eyed right now.

--------------------------

Was Oliver stoned?

In a scene more bizarre than any of this conspiracy theories, Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to be his 22-year-old daughter’s godfather.

“Does she want to become an Orthodox Christian?” Putin said when Stone suggested the idea during a sit-down in Moscow on June 19.

“We’ll make her that [Orthodox],” Stone said during a rambling conversation about young people and American culture, according to a transcript of the interview posted online by the Kremlin on Friday.

Stone has interviewed Putin multiple times, including for his 2016 documentary “Ukraine on Fire.”

Putin also told Stone that the Russians and Ukrainians “are one people” and the countries should find a way to combine.

“When these lands that are now the core of Ukraine joined Russia … nobody thought of themselves as anything but Russians,” Putin told the director, who has embraced anti-establishment views of history with movies like “Platoon” and “JFK.”

The Russian strongman told Stone the bond between the countries could be used “as our competitive advantage during some form of integration,” the Associated Press reported.

Putin also said he “sympathized” with President Trump before the 2016 election because of his desire to restore normal relations with Russia, according to Reuters. But he insisted that he had not and will not interfere with US elections.
