Shooting death ruins Baltimore's ''Nobody Kill Anybody" Weekend

This plan worked out about as well as Cash for Clunkers!

Usually, the term "ceasefire" is reserved for warring nations. Then again we have Chiraq and Balran.

A 24-year-old man was shot and killed in Baltimore on Saturday, police said, breaking a 72-hour "ceasefire" called by activists who had pleaded for a pause in the city's record homicide rate.

Community leaders organized around the social media hashtag Baltimore Ceasefire issued a general plea that "no one kills anyone" during the 72 hours of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

After no homicides were reported on Friday, the fatal shooting occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, police said in a statement.

"The victim was rushed to an area hospital by friends," police said, but he was pronounced dead at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

A non-fatal shooting occurred two hours earlier in which a 22-year-old man was shot in the arm, police said.

By the end of July, Baltimore police reported a record 204 homicides, according to the Baltimore Sun, leading to the Baltimore Ceasefire movement.

"There is a war going on in Baltimore right now. We are experiencing genocide among our African-American males, both by the hands of the Police Department and from one another. We the people need a call to action in order to save the city and our community for our future generations," Baltimore Ceasefire said on its Facebook page.

Baltimore, a majority black city, experienced rioting in April 2015 after Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old African-American man, died in police custody.

They Make Me Sick

If you recall I was begging Republicans (who owned the House and Senate) for years to appoint a Special Prosecutor for Barry’s myriad of scandals... F&F, IRS, Black Panther voter intimidation, Solyndra, just to name a few. What happened? Nothing! Here we are only 8 fucking months into the Trump administration and we already have Special Prosecutor Mueller and uncover TeaPartier destroyer (Watch this exchange between him and Jim Jordan…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPrUCPTWTAo&ab_channel=JoeSchoffstall) tell me HE HAS ANY FUCKING INTEREST in getting to the bottom of the IRS investigation! And what do we have now? Mueller (Comey’s trusted friend) and a whole crew of Hillary supporters (his staff) chomping at the bit to nail Trump. Think he'll put more 'gusto' into investigating Trump than he did in the IRS investigation? Amazing the WH and both houses owned by Republicans and they sit back and allow this to happen? Meanwhile, Republicans can't  smell red meat! Right under their noses...

The Clinton emails
The Clinton Foundation
Selling uranium to Russia
The 'accidental' meeting on the tarmac
Lynch..."Don't call it an investigation call it a matter" line

And we voted for these bastards!

PS:

Imagine if you will, sometime in the near future, the IRS was caught targeting liberal groups based solely on their political beliefs. Do you believe the end result would be the same for Trump as it was for Barry and his accomplices?

Facebook engineers panic, pull plug on AI after bots develop their own language

As the world’s most powerful computer systems begin to embrace artificial intelligence in earnest, using smart algorithms to increase efficiency and speed, the potential damage that a “rogue” AI could cause continues to grow. Many in the tech community have theorized how an artificial mind could turn against its creators, and Facebook just got an interesting lesson in how such a scenario might unfold. Facebook engineers were forced to pull the plug on one of the company’s AI systems after its bots began communicating with each other in a completely new language which humans simply couldn’t decipher.

The AI bots, which were originally programmed to use plain English to communicate with one another, were found to be speaking what appeared to be gibberish. Sentences like “I can can I I everything else” and “Balls have zero to me to me to me to me to me to me to me to me to,” were being sent back and forth by the AI, and while humans have absolutely no idea what it means, the bots fully understood each other. Without being able to understand how or why the bots were communicating, Facebook had no choice but to shut down the system.

The very obvious danger here is that computers which can communicate with each other using their own language are not only impossible to understand but much more difficult to control. In this case, the bots were not bound by plain language and seemingly developed a more efficient way of communicating with each other, deciding for themselves what was best. It’s both impressive and scary.

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is a huge proponent of artificial intelligence and has even clashed with other tech leaders like Elon Musk over his embrace of AI and apparent lack of concern over the theoretical dangers intelligent computers could pose to humanity. After the events of this weekend, perhaps he’ll change his tune a bit.
