150 arrested in Northern California immigration sweep; ICE official says others eluded authorities after Oakland mayor's 'reckless' alert

Someone tell me how these fucks get elected?

Why wasn't Libby Schaaf arrested for aiding and abetting criminal aliens?  She warns the illegal community ICE is going to carry out a raid! She cares more about illegals (ICE arrested 20,201 people across the state of that 81 % had criminal convictions.) than the best interests of the citizens she was elected to serve and protect! When one of her protected illegals shoots and kills someone you know who's going to get the blame don't you... Gun Control, and the NRA... Anybody and Everybody except the illegal who committed the crime and Libby Schaaf who paved the way for it to happen.

If you live in Oakland, CA why don't you put a stop to this shit?

Update:

Federal agents arrested more than 150 people suspected of violating immigration laws during a three-day sweep across Northern California, authorities said Tuesday.

About half of those arrested have criminal convictions. A top Immigration and Customs Enforcement official said he thought others were able to elude arrest after the Oakland mayor alerted the public about the upcoming raids.

ICE Deputy Director Thomas D. Homan blasted so-called sanctuary laws in San Francisco and Oakland, saying they endanger immigration officers who aren't allowed in jails and therefore must make more arrests in the community.

"The Oakland mayor's decision to publicize her suspicions about ICE operations further increased that risk for my officers and alerted criminal aliens — making clear that this reckless decision was based on her political agenda with the very federal laws that ICE is sworn to uphold," Homan said in a statement.

He added that 864 immigrants with criminal histories are still at large despite the raids this week that led to arrests in Stockton, Sacramento, San Francisco and Bay Point.

"I have to believe that some of them were able to elude us thanks to the mayor's irresponsible decision," Homan said.

Among those at large are Oakland residents with multiple prior removals, said James Schwab, a spokesman for ICE in San Francisco, a field office that spans 49 counties from Bakersfield to the Oregon border. They include someone convicted of carrying a loaded firearm and selling drugs and another suspected of transporting cocaine and having sex with a minor.

Immigration detainers lodged against them have been "repeatedly ignored," Schwab said. "Instead they have been released back into the community to potentially re-offend."

Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf sent out the alert Saturday night, saying she had heard from multiple sources that immigration agents would be conducting enforcement operations "starting as soon as within the next 24 hours."

She urged residents here illegally to take precautions, sparking debate about what role politicians and city governments should play in spreading information — both confirmed and unconfirmed — about possible federal immigration sweeps.

In a statement late Tuesday, Schaaf said she does not regret offering the heads-up about the raids.

"It was my intention that one mother, or one father, would use the information to help keep their family together," she said. "It is Oakland's legal right to be a sanctuary city and we have not broken any laws. We believe our community is safer when families stay together."

The epitome of an asshole liberal.

Why would you protect illegal criminals living in Oakland, CA to the detriment of American citizens? I just don’t get it.

In fiscal year 2017, ICE arrested 20,201 people across the state, Schwab said. Of those, he said, 81% had criminal convictions.

Some of those who were arrested in the latest sweep will be prosecuted for returning to the country after deportation, Schwab said. One person arrested in Bay Point had been removed from the country eight times.

Another, a documented Sureño gang member identified as Armando Nuñez-Salgado, has four prior removals, Schwab said. Over the last 18 years, he added, the 38-year-old has been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, hit-and-run causing injury and evading a peace officer.

Dozens of people caught in the sweep have no criminal histories. Although the raids prioritized people who pose a threat, officials said anyone violating immigration laws were subject to arrest.

Black Lives Matter leader who ran through police tape on live TV and grabbed a Confederate flag was shot in the thigh on his bike in an attempted robbery and died from blood loss after carrying on cycling for six blocks

The headline is misleading. I thought d’Baha was the robber, not the victim.

So let's say later we discover he was shot by Deqavious Johnson. I wonder how much of a commotion you're going to get from BLM then? Because in their mind his death doesn't count. All that matters is who shot him.

-----------------------------

  • Muhiyidin d’Baha, 32, was shot and later died in New Orleans on February 6
  • He is now is believed to have been the victim of an attempted robbery
  • The Black Lives Matter leader was found at the end of a six-block trail of blood
  • He was found with his bike on Bienville Street shortly after being shot at 1.24 am
  • The well-known activist was famous for jumping through police caution tape on live television to take a Confederate flag from a protester in Charleston in 2017
  • Police are asking for anyone with information to contact NOPD Homicide Detective Brett Mathes at 504-658-5300 for a possible reward of $5,000
  • Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling 504-822-1111 or 1-877-903-STOP

A well-known Black Lives Matter leader who was slain in New Orleans earlier this month is believed to have been the victim of an attempted robbery, police have revealed.

Muhiyidin d’Baha, 32, was found shot in the early morning hours of February 6 while riding his bicycle on Bienville Street, with his bicycle at the end of a six-block trail of blood, the NOLA Times-Picayune reported.

The activist died later that day from blood loss related to the gunshot wound in his thigh, his relatives wrote in a GoFundMe campaign launched to raise money to bring his body home to Charleston, South Carolina.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the NOPD Police Department.

d'Baha, whose legal last name was Moye, achieved notoriety for jumping through caution tape set up by police to take a Confederate flag away from a protester on live television at the College of Charleston in February 2017.

Though the nation took notice of d'Baha then, his family and loved ones, who referred to him simply as 'Moye' or 'Moya,' said his work within the Black Lives Matter movement ran much deeper than that isolated incident.

d'Baha referred to his activism as 'putting in work,' his girlfriend, Erica Veal, told the NOLA Times-Picayune at the time of his death.

Thomas Dixon, a North Charleston pastor who often worked side by side in activism with d'Baha, who practiced the religion of d'Baha 'I, echoed what a great loss this was to their community.'

'They'll never know it. Whether it was accidental or intentional, that person, at least in this realm, will never know what they took away from the world,' Dixon said of d'Baha's killer.

d'Baha was in New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras, and connect with local musicians

The percussionist, guitarist, flutist, pianist and marimba player, who is said to have loved drums the most, had arrived to the city on February 2, and four days later, he was dead

Camille Weaver, his niece who was responsible for creating an account to raise money for the transport of his body and a memorial service, said the family learned of his passing at around 9.30 am the next day, through a phone call from an official 'saying that he had died due to excessive blood loss.'

The updated information about the suspected robbery was revealed by the NOPD on Wednesday.

NOPD Homicide Detective Brett Mathes is in charge of the investigation into d'Baha's death, which remains ongoing at this time.

NOPD is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

Mathes can be reached at 504-658-5300 with any information.

Trump wants his personal pilot to lead FAA, drug dealers to be executed: reports

So before you find Trump's take below, let's say excessively stringent, bear in mind Trump has to round up all the drug dealers and various other criminals Barry released from prison during his 8-year occupation. These were just a few of the headlines:

...and the list goes on and on.

Once we get the full story on the Clinton-financed Trump dossier with a whole host of co-conspirators he may be booked for a reservation instead of just visiting.

------------------------------------

President Donald Trump speaks at the White House on Friday.

President Donald Trump is pushing for his personal pilot to become the new head of the Federal Aviation Administration, and has talked of the appeal of executing drug dealers, according to a pair of reports by Axios on Sunday.

John Dunkin, who flew Trump on his private Boeing 757 during the presidential campaign, is on the FAA short list, Axios reported. The FAA chairman oversees a $16 billion annual budget and is in charge of all U.S. civil aviation.

A senior administration official told Axios that Dunkin had an impressive interview for the FAA job, and has prior managerial and administrative experience. “He’s on the list because he’s the president’s pilot, but if he gets the job it won’t be because he’s the president’s pilot,” the source said, according to Axios.

In a separate report, Axios cited multiple sources who said Trump has expressed admiration at how countries such as Singapore and China execute drug dealers.

“He often jokes about killing drug dealers... He’ll say, ‘You know the Chinese and Filipinos don’t have a drug problem. They just kill them,’” Axios quoted a source as saying.

In the Philippines, more than 12,000 drug dealers and users have been killed by police and death squads in the past two years under President Rodrigo Duterte, according to Human Rights Watch.

According to the sources, Trump has said drug dealers are as bad as serial killers, and he would love to change U.S. law to have them executed.

While that is unlikely to happen, Axios reported Trump may push for new mandatory-minimum sentences for drug traffickers and take inspiration from parts of Singapore’s “zero-tolerance” policy, such as increased anti-drug education in schools.

Delta and United end their discounts for NRA members as the number of companies to cut ties with the gun lobby rises to 14

Looks like the MSM is trying to pin the Parkland shooting on the NRA and now they have ginned up more support. After all, someone has to be at fault...just not the killer right? Why should the NRA take it on the chin? How are they responsible for what a deranged killer did who sent up red flags galore before the shooting? Cruz had the cops at his home 39 times since 2010!!! A good starting point on the gun control debate is---Why do people allow other people who are close to them and insane give them access to guns?

The common thread---Insanity

What do you think the odds are any of these lunatics actually belonged to the NRA?

Five million NRA members will now be buying their insurance elsewhere, driving rental cars from a different company, and of course, their are plenty of other hotels to stay at.

Suppose a guy who's a duck hunter and a member of Ducks Unlimited goes into a bar and shoots three people dead. Should we now boycott  Ducks Unlimited?

The National Rifle Association defended itself in no uncertain terms Saturday after numerous companies sought to cut ties with the gun lobby following the nation's latest mass shooting.

The statement came two days after Wayne LaPierre, the NRA’s executive vice president, delivered a fiery speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Maryland.

The NRA, which represents about 5 million members, has faced public outcry following a mass shooting Feb. 14 in Parkland, Fla., that killed 17 people. That outcry has mostly taken the form of calls for gun control legislation and for boycotts of companies that partner with the NRA on discount offers and other consumer inducements.

On Saturday, United and Delta Airlines joined the list of companies separating themselves from the gun group. Previous companies to do so include MetLife, Symantec and rental car companies Hertz, Budget, Avis and Enterprise.

Those moves prompted Saturday's response from the NRA, which asserted that those corporations had “decided to punish NRA membership in a shameful display of political and civic cowardice.”

The NRA's statement argued that other factors besides gun ownership were to blame for events like the Parkland massacre.

How true:

“The law-abiding members of the NRA had nothing at all to do with the failure of that school’s security preparedness, the failure of America’s mental health system, the failure of the National Instant Check System or the cruel failures of both federal and local law enforcement,” its statement said.

15 brands have now ended their relationship with the NRA:

1. MetLife
2. Symantec
3. BestWestern
4. Wyndham
5. Alamo
6. NationalPro
7. Enterprise
8. FNBOmaha
9. Hertz
10. Budget
11. Avis
12. Norton online
13. North-American
14. SimpliSafe
15. Chubb

US deportations targeting more people with no crime records

Yeah...they're here illegally aren't they? The headline of this leftist article makes it sound like they're being "victimized". Liberals hate it because for every illegal deported it's one less vote for Democrats.

----------------------------

FILE - In this Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 photo released by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, foreign nationals are arrested during a targeted enforcement operation conducted by ICE aimed at immigration fugitives, re-entrants and at-large criminal aliens in Los Angeles. People arrested by deportation officers increasingly have no criminal backgrounds, according to figures released Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, reflecting the Trump administration's commitment to cast a wider net. (Charles Reed/U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement via AP)

SAN DIEGO (AP) — People arrested by deportation officers increasingly have no criminal backgrounds, according to figures released Friday, reflecting the Trump administration's commitment to cast a wider net.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said 65 percent of arrests from October to December were criminals, compared to 82 percent during the final full three months of the Obama administration.

Looked at another way, arrests of criminals jumped 14 percent to 25,626 from 22,484, but arrests of non-criminals nearly tripled to 13,548 from 4,918.

Overall, there were 39,174 deportation arrests from October to December, up from 27,402 during the final full three months of the Obama administration. The 43 percent surge is consistent with trends since Trump took office and dramatically increased enforcement.

During the 2017 fiscal year, which included nearly four months under Obama, 74 percent had criminal convictions and an additional 16 percent had pending charges, according to ICE. The most common crimes were driving under the influence, drugs, other traffic offenses and immigration violations.

The administration has said people with criminal histories remain a priority but that no one in the country illegally is immune. (The left perceives this as crazy. They cherish not knowing who's in the country...as long as they vote Democrat) Many with deep, longstanding ties in the country who stayed out of trouble were allowed to stay under Obama but are now ordered to leave.

Get out the violin.

In February, former Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, now Trump's chief of staff, scrapped the Obama administration's policy of limiting deportations to people who pose a public safety threat, convicted criminals and those who have crossed the border recently, effectively making anyone in the country illegally vulnerable.

ICE's Dallas field office tallied the most arrests during the latest three-month period, followed by Atlanta and Houston.

"Death To America"...unless I need medical attention

Abbas Taken to US Hospital for Unscheduled Medical Tests

“In my own brief span of life, I have seen both these things: sometimes a good man perishes in spite of his goodness, and sometimes a wicked one endures in spite of his wickedness.” Ecclesiastes 7:15 (The Israel Bible™)

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, November 10, 2016. (Flash90)

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas unexpectedly extended his stay in the US when he was taken to a Baltimore hospital on Thursday for what PA sources called “routine checks”.

Abbas was in the US to address the United Nations General Assembly earlier in the week and was scheduled to travel to Venezuela on Thursday but was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore instead. PA sources refuted earlier reports that the 82-year-old leader was rushed to the hospital.

“Our presence here was a suitable chance for us to make some medical checks,” Abbas told Palestine TV, according to a Reuters translation. “We actually made those checks and we are out now and, thank God, all results are positive and are assuring. This is God’s blessing on us.”

No details were given describing the types of tests performed.

Abbas is scheduled to fly back to Israel on Friday.

Abbas is overweight and a heavy smoker. He was treated several years ago for prostate cancer and also had a stent inserted in his heart to treat artery blockage. In October 2016, he underwent an emergency cardiac catheterization suffering exhaustion and chest pains.

Too bad doctor Jack Kevorkian wasn't still around.

Billy Graham

I don’t care what religious order you follow... listening to Billy Graham was truly inspiring. He filled baseball stadiums with throngs of people yearning to hear him preach. I sincerely believe they should have a national holiday in his honor. He was one of a kind!

-----------------------------

Billy Graham, preacher to millions, adviser to presidents, dies at 99

Graham died at 8 a.m. EST at his home in Montreat, North Carolina, according to Jeremy Blume, a spokesman for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

With his steely features and piercing blue eyes, Graham was a powerful figure when he preached in his prime, roaming the stage and hoisting a Bible as he declared Jesus Christ to be the only solution to humanity's problems.

According to his ministry, he preached to more people than anyone else in history, reaching hundreds of millions of people either in person or via TV and satellite links.

Graham became the de facto White House chaplain to several U.S. presidents, most famously Richard Nixon. He also met with scores of world leaders and was the first noted evangelist to take his message behind the Iron Curtain.

"He was probably the dominant religious leader of his era," said William Martin, author of "A Prophet With Honor: The Billy Graham Story." "No more than one or two popes, perhaps one or two other people, came close to what he achieved."

In a rare trip away from his home in his later years, Graham had celebrated his 95th birthday on Nov. 7, 2013, at a hotel in Asheville, North Carolina, where some 800 guests, including Republican politician Sarah Palin, business magnates Rupert Murdoch and Donald Trump and television hostess Kathie Lee Gifford paid tribute.

The celebration featured a video of a sermon that his son Franklin said was Graham's last message to the nation. Graham had been working for a year on the video, which was aired on Fox News. In it, he said America was "in great need of a spiritual awakening."

In his prime Graham had a thunderous, quick-burst speaking style that earned him the nickname "God's Machine Gun." Through his "Crusades for Christ," Graham sowed fields of devotion across the American heartland that would become fertile ground for the growth of the religious right's conservative political movement.

His influence was fueled by an organization that carefully planned his religious campaigns, putting on international conferences and training seminars for evangelical leaders, Martin said.

Graham's mastery of the media was ground-breaking. In addition to radio and publishing, he used telephone lines, television and satellites to deliver his message to homes, churches and theaters around the world.

Some 77 million saw him preach in person while nearly 215 million more watched his crusades on television or through satellite link-ups, a Graham spokeswoman said.

Graham started meeting with presidents during the tenure of Harry Truman. He played golf with Gerald Ford, skinny-dipped in the White House pool with Lyndon Johnson, vacationed with George H.W. Bush and spent the night in the White House on Nixon's first day in office.

George W. Bush gave Graham credit for helping him rediscover his faith and in 2010, when it was difficult for Graham to travel, Barack Obama made the trip to the preacher's log cabin home in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains.

Graham's ties to the White House were mutually beneficial. His reputation was enhanced as preacher to the presidents, while the politicians boosted their standing with religiously inclined voters.

"Their personal lives - some of them - were difficult," Graham, a registered Democrat, told Time magazine in 2007 of his political acquaintances. "But I loved them all. I admired them all. I knew that they had burdens beyond anything I could ever know or understand."

Graham's reputation took a hit because of Nixon after the release of 1972 White House tapes in which the two were heard making anti-Semitic comments. Graham later said he did not remember the conversation and apologized.

In the early half of his career, Graham often spoke his mind on social and political issues of the day, including his strong anti-communist sentiments. He dismissed Vietnam War protesters as attention-seekers and, while he eventually refused to hold segregated revival meetings, he did not take an active role in the 1960s civil rights movement.

But Graham's politics were not as overt as those of some religious leaders who came after him, such as Pat Robertson, who ran for president in 1988, and Jerry Falwell, co-founder of the Moral Majority, an organization whose purpose was to promote Christian-oriented politics.

As he grew older, Graham said he felt he had become too involved in some issues and shifted to a middle-of-the-road position in order to reach more people. He did, however, dive into the gay marriage issue in 2012 when he came out in support of a state amendment to ban same-sex marriages in North Carolina. He also met with Republican Mitt Romney in October 2012 and told him he supported Romney's run for the presidency.

FROM FARM TO PULPIT

William Franklin Graham was born on Nov. 7, 1918, into a Presbyterian family and was known as Billy Frank while growing up on a farm near Charlotte, North Carolina. As a teenager, he said he was mostly preoccupied with baseball and girls until he was moved by God after hearing a fiery revivalist in Charlotte.

After attending Bob Jones College, Graham ended up at a Bible school in Florida, where he would preach at his first revival, and was ordained in 1939 by a church in the Southern Baptist Convention. He received a scholarship to Wheaton College near Chicago, where he met Ruth Bell, whose parents were missionaries in China. They married in 1943.

Rather than work from a home church, Graham went on the road, preaching in tents and building a following. His breakthrough came with a 1949 Los Angeles tent crusade that was scheduled for three weeks but extended to eight because of the overflow crowds he attracted.

The success of the Los Angeles campaign and the fame it brought Graham was attributed to media magnate William Randolph Hearst, who had liked Graham's style and anti-communist stance so much that he ordered his newspapers to give Graham a boost.

Graham eventually outgrew tent revivals and would preach at some of the most famous venues in the world, such as Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden in New York and London's Wembley Stadium. He delivered sermons around the globe, including in remote African villages, China, North Korea, the Soviet Union, East Germany, Czechoslovakia and Hungary.

Liberals accused him of giving credibility to abusive governments while fundamentalist Christians criticized him for going to godless countries and promoting peaceful relations with them. Graham said he simply saw the trips as apolitical opportunities to win souls for Christ.

Graham concluded his career of religious campaigns in June 2005 in New York with a three-day stand that attracted more than 230,000 people, his organization said. He turned over his evangelical association to his son Franklin. Graham's other four children were also evangelists.

REPUTATION

Graham managed to maintain his public integrity even as other TV star evangelists such as Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart were hit in the 1980s by financial and sex scandals. To keep his reputation pristine, Graham had a policy of never being alone with any woman other than Ruth.

Graham's closest presidential relationship was with Nixon, who offered him any government job he wanted - including ambassador to Israel. It turned out to be a painful relationship for Graham, who said Nixon and his circle misled him on the Watergate scandal.

Nixon aide H.R. Haldeman first mentioned Graham's anti-Semitic remarks in a 1994 book, which Graham strongly denied. But when audio tapes from the Nixon White House were released in 2002, Graham could be heard referring to Jews as pornographers and agreeing with Nixon that the U.S. media was dominated by liberal Jews and could send the United States "down the drain."

Graham, who had a long history of supporting Israel, apologized again after the tapes' release and said he had no recollection of the conversation.

"If it wasn't on tape, I would not have believed it," Graham told Newsweek. "I guess I was trying to please. I felt so badly about myself - I couldn't believe it. I went to a meeting with Jewish leaders and I told them I would crawl to them to ask their forgiveness."

The author of more than two dozen books with titles such as "How to Be Born Again," Graham also ran the weekly "Hour of Decision" radio program broadcast around the world on Sundays for more than 50 years.

Graham helped bring religion into the television age. He first put together a television show, which was eventually syndicated, in 1951 and began live broadcasts of his revival meetings in 1957 from New York's Madison Square Garden.

In a 2011 Fox News interview, Graham was asked what he would do differently in his career.

"I would study more. I would pray more, travel less, take less speaking engagements," he said. "I took too many of them in too many places around the world. If I had it to do over again I'd spend more time in meditation and prayer and just telling the Lord how much I love him."

In addition to suffering with Parkinson's disease for many years, Graham's health problems in his later years included a broken hip, a broken pelvis, prostate cancer and installation of a shunt in his brain to control excess fluid. He was hospitalized in 2011, 2012 and 2013 for respiratory problems.

Graham and his wife, Ruth, who died June 14, 2007, had two sons and three daughters.
