Senate vote to defund Planned Parenthood fails

46 voted it's okay to kill the unborn and sell their body parts.

And look who three of them are!

Choosing not to vote is as good as a no.
If Grahamnesty's campaign wasn't officially over... it is now.

This one's a  shocker!!!

When/if they get rid of Boehner take McConnell along with him.

Update:

Maybe I went off halfcocked. Yes he voted no to defund PP but this is the reason why.

That said Perception is reality. In clear conscience I could not vote no to defund PP no matter what the circumstances.

The fight over funding for Planned Parenthood shifts to a must-pass government funding measure this fall after a procedural vote in the Senate on legislation that would have barred all federal funds for the group failed on Monday.

The vote was 53-46, meaning the measure failed the get the 60 votes needed to overcome a Democratic filibuster on bringing the bill up for debate.

Planned Parenthood has come under intense scrutiny after an anti-abortion group released a series of videos it says shows that the nonprofit group is making money off of the sale of fetal tissue, a practice the group denies.

Conservatives in both the House and Senate are demanding that their leaders attach a provision to any spending bill to block additional federal funds from going to Planned Parenthood.

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz told reporters to GOP should use "any and every procedural tool available" to defund Planned Parenthood. When pressed if that meant forcing a government shutdown over the issue Cruz, argued Democrats should be the ones asked if they supported "continued taxpayer funding for an organization that has been caught on film, apparently repeatedly admitting multiple felonies -- to buying and selling body parts."

Federal agencies run out of money at the end of September, and Congress is expected to take up some type of short-term spending bill next month.

Cecile Richard, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, called the failed GOP effort on the bill on Monday evidence that the issue was a "political non-starter."

"While some extreme Republicans may continue to insist on shutting down the government in order to deny health care, including birth control, to millions of women, that is a fight the American people have zero appetite for and a fight these extremists will not win," Richards said in a statement.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest, appearing on CNN's "New Day" on Monday, said that he has not viewed the videos. But he added, "what the President has said is that Planned Parenthood provides valuable services, health care services for men and women across the country. He would veto any legislation that tried to advance wholesale defunding for Planned Parenthood."

Republicans on Capitol Hill have clashed with President Barack Obama over federal money for Planned Parenthood before.

In 2011, House Republicans passed a spending bill that stripped money for Planned Parenthood, and the fight over the issue came close to causing a government shutdown. Right before the deadline, House Speaker John Boehner negotiated a compromise that didn't include a defunding provision.
GOP Sen. Rand Paul, who pressed Senate leaders for the vote on Planned Parenthood this week, was reluctant to draw a line in the sand.

"I support any legislation that will defund Planned Parenthood. But (I) don't think you start out with your objective to shut down government," the Kentucky senator told CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday.

Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, the sponsor of the GOP bill that failed to advance on Monday night told reporters, "These videos are not going away."

But when asked if she would vote for a government funding bill that was linked to defunding Planned Parenthood, she said she wasn't at that point yet, and wasn't "going to discuss that."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, also a Kentucky Republican, declined to rule out attaching a provision to the spending bill in September.

"We're going to discuss how to fund the government after the recess," he told reporters last week.

Boehner has emphasized that multiple congressional committees are launching investigations into the videos and said he is awaiting more facts before deciding any next steps.

Black Politicians Matter

Are Black Congressional Lawmakers Being Singled Out In Ethics Probes?

This only happens to blacks. No Caucasian has ever been ousted from Congress.

What do we learn from this? When your back is against the wall and there's nowhere to turn whip out the race card. Lets take them in order of appearance.

----------------------------------

A day after longtime Philadelphia Congressman Chaka Fattah was indicted by the federal government on charges that he and a group of associates were involved in a racketeering conspiracy, listeners of a show on the only African-American owned and operated talk radio station in Pennsylvania called to express suspicion.

On Thursday, WURD’s Nick Taliaferro told NewsOne Now host Roland S. Martin that listeners to The Nick Taliaferro Show tend to be suspicious about “any type of governmental action against an elected official who happens to be Black.” While they are aware of the possibility of “human culpability” by Black elected officials, said Taliaferro, they also believe that “the government has found itself on the shadier side of prosecutions when it comes to Black officials.”

“This has been an eight-year effort by some in the Department of Justice to link my public service career to some form of wrongdoing,” Fattah said in a statement. The subtext being that he was targeted. Was he?

Seems like he's trying to twist his suspicious activity into targeting... if he wasn't involved in any wrongdoing then he shouldn't have anything to worry about right?

The National Journal reported in 2012 that about one-third of sitting Black lawmakers have been named in an ethics probe during their time in office. And very few members hold ranking positions.

The facts say this: African-Americans make up 10 percent of the House, but as of the end of February, five of the sitting six named lawmakers under review by the House Ethics Committee are black. The pattern isn’t new. At one point in late 2009, seven lawmakers were known to be involved in formal House ethics inquiries; all were members of the Congressional Black Caucus. An eighth caucus member, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. of Illinois, had also been under investigation, but his probe was halted temporarily while the Justice Department undertook an inquiry of its own.

The real fact is blacks commit the most crimes.

In interviews with more than a dozen members of the CBC, an unsettling thread emerges: They feel targeted. There could be no other explanation, many said, for what they see as disproportionate treatment at the hands of ethics investigators. They describe a disquieting reality of being black in Congress today: a feeling that each move they make is unfairly scrutinized. “We all feel threatened,” said Rep. Hank Johnson, a Georgia Democrat, as he sat by the fireplace off the House floor. “If the only reason that you would suffer a complaint is because of your skin color, that is a cause for concern.”

Is Hank Johnson a crook? I don't know. But he certainly is an imbecile! Go here and you won't believe what you're hearing.

There should be a test before being allowed to vote.

Fattah, a member of Congress since 1995, said Wednesday that he was stepping down as the ranking member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science. It is one of the most powerful positions in Congress.

Black lawmakers have not fared well on the House appropriations committee. Before Fattah, former Michigan Democratic Rep. Carolyn Kilpatrick, who served as head of the Congressional Black Caucus, unexpectedly lost a re-election primary in 2010. In 2006, former Louisiana Democratic Rep. Bill Jefferson was removed from the committee and is now serving time in prison on charges of corruption.

This is why she was "targeted"
She could have been involved... it's as simple as that.

Kilpatrick was married to Bernard Nathaniel Kilpatrick, with whom she has daughter Ayanna and son Kwame Kilpatrick, former Mayor of Detroit. Both her former husband and son were on trial, under an 89-page felony indictment. On March 11, 2013, her son was found guilty on 24 of 30 federal charges and her former spouse was found guilty on 1 of 4 federal charges.

Doesn't everybody keep $90,000 wrapped in foil and hidden in boxes of frozen pie crusts in their freezer? I guess you could say he had frozen assets.

And longtime New York City Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel, who was censured 2010, stepped down from another powerful position as chairman of Ways & Means Committee in 2009 on charges of ethics violations. Although Rangel was not indicted, he has not ascended to another powerful position.

In the face of an ethics probe, Illinois Democratic Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., resigned from Congress in 2012. On February 20, 2013, he pleaded guilty to one count of wire and mail fraud and was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison in August of that year.

Some congressional lawmakers have been able to beat back accusations of wrongdoing, including Rep. Maxine Waters, who was cleared in 2012 after an investigation described by The Atlantic as rife with “intraparty squabbles, allegations of racism and bitter personal rivalries.”

Of all the people mentioned in this article Rangel is the worst. He should have been in jail alongside Wesley Snipes. He got off with a slap on the wrist thanks to a Democratic controlled House.

Jesse Jackson Jr admitted his crimes and got a lousy 30 months. He was involved up to his eyeballs in the Blago scam of selling Barry's old seat.

Pure and simple Walters funneled stimulus money to her husband's bank. The Republicans didn't have the balls to do anything about it.

It will be interesting to observe how the Fattah indictment plays out. Meanwhile, the question remains, are Black congressional lawmakers being targeted unfairly.

According to this article all you need to know is they were targeted. The fact they were investigated and for the most part found guilty has no bearing on it.

The stench of Eric Holder still lingers

Remember the Garland Texas attack when two Muslims were killed by the cops at an exhibition of cartoons of Muhammad. Turns out one of them had a gun traced back to Holder's F&F.

---------------------------------------------------------

Unreal: Gun Used in Terror Attack on Mohammed Cartoon Contest Sold Through Operation Fast and Furious - Katie Pavlich

On May 4, 2015 Nadir Soofi and Elton Simpson drove from Phoenix to Garland, Texas to carry out a terror attack against conservatives hosting a Mohammed cartoon contest. When they arrived on scene, they were immediately shot and killed by police after opening fire outside the building.

It turns out Soofi purchased his gun under the Holder Justice Department's Operation Fast and Furious back in 2010. As a reminder, Operation Fast and Furious was a program that ran from 2009-2010 in which federal agents purposely allowed the sale of thousands of weapons, including handguns, AK-47s and .50-caliber rifles, to known drug cartels. Agents deliberately allowed weapons to be trafficked and lost in Mexico. Now, Barack Obama's bloodiest scandal has hit home once again. Richard Serrano at the LA Times has the incredible details:

Five years before he was shot to death in the failed terrorist attack in Garland, Texas, Nadir Soofi walked into a suburban Phoenix gun shop to buy a 9-millimeter pistol.

At the time, Lone Wolf Trading Co. was known among gun smugglers for selling illegal firearms. And with Soofi's history of misdemeanor drug and assault charges, there was a chance his purchase might raise red flags in the federal screening process.

Inside the store, he fudged some facts on the form required of would-be gun buyers. What Soofi could not have known was that Lone Wolf was at the center of a federal sting operation known as Fast and Furious, targeting Mexican drug lords and traffickers. The idea of the secret program was to allow Lone Wolf to sell illegal weapons to criminals and straw purchasers, and track the guns back to large smuggling networks and drug cartels.

Soofi's attempt to buy a gun caught the attention of authorities, who slapped a seven-day hold on the transaction, according to his Feb. 24, 2010, firearms transaction record, which was reviewed by the Los Angeles Times. Then, for reasons that remain unclear, the hold was lifted after 24 hours, and Soofi got the 9-millimeter.

In other words, ATF and the FBI pushed through a shady gun sale that ultimately was used in a terror attack against Americans on U.S. soil.

Not surprisingly the FBI has been stonewalling information about Soofi's firearm and the guns used during the Garland attack for months. They did the same when Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by Mexican drug bandits in Arizona on December 15, 2010. The guns used in his murder were also sold as part of Operation Fast and Furious. More from Serrano:
A day after the attack, the Department of Justice sent an "urgent firearms disposition request" to Lone Wolf, seeking more information about Soofi and the pistol he bought in 2010, according to a June 1 letter from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, to U.S. Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch.

Though the request did not specify whether the gun was used in the Garland attack, Justice Department officials said the information was needed "to assist in a criminal investigation," according to Johnson's letter, also reviewed by The Times.

The FBI so far has refused to release any details, including serial numbers, about the weapons used in Garland by Soofi and Simpson. Senate investigators are now pressing law enforcement agencies for answers, raising the chilling possibility that a gun sold during the botched Fast and Furious operation ended up being used in a terrorist attack against Americans.

Keep in mind not a single person involved in Operation Fast and Furious has been fired. In fact, many Department of Justice officials and ATF supervisors have been promoted. ATF agents who exposed the scandal, however, have faced extreme retaliation in addition to career and personal sabotage.

What’s happening to this heroic Navy officer from the Chattanooga shooting will make your blood BOIL

This administration is absolutely insane!

This act of terror occurred 7-16-15. I would imagine by now the results of the  ballistics report are in and they know it didn't come from White's gun. Or it did and they're lying about it. Whatever the results, especially if they admit the bullet came from White's gun, the public outcry will be such there won't be a tree high enough to hang Mabus and Carter.

BTW... Lt. Cmdr White has six kids and a seventh on the way.

Mabus at he beach

---------------------------------------

What’s happening to this heroic Navy officer from the Chattanooga shooting will make your blood BOIL

I never like to be reactionary and follow anything that may just be hyperbole or conspiracy theory. That’s why I held off on addressing this issue until I got confirmation — which came Friday afternoon via text message.

There are things which make you just upset, like the liberal progressive left and media accomplices’ rage over the shooting of a lion in Africa but abject disregard and disdain reference Planned Parenthood dismembering babies and selling their body parts.

But this story has me dog fighting mad and seriously pissed off.

As reported ten days ago by Western Journalism, “A Navy officer and Marine reportedly returned fire at the shooter who killed five service members in Chattanooga, Tenn., even though current policy does not permit military members to carry firearms on facilities such as those where the attack occurred.

The cold-blooded assault killed four Marines and one active-duty Navy reservist. The center’s commanding officer, Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, used his personal firearm to engage the shooter during the attack, according to sources quoted in the Navy Times. A report from The Washington Post said that one of the Marines killed in the shooting might have been carrying a 9 mm Glock and possibly returned fire on the shooter.

At the time, Western Journalism wrote, Lt. Cmdr. White could face disciplinary action for violating policy about possessing a weapon on the facility that was supposedly a gun-free zone. The investigation into the attack is ongoing, and authorities will not know if White or the Marine hit the shooter until an autopsy and a ballistics report have been completed.

Ladies and gents, resulting from the text message I received yesterday, I can confirm that the United States Navy is bringing charges against Lt. Cmdr Timothy White for illegally discharging a firearm on federal property.

The text message asked if it would be possible for Lt.Cmdr White to reach out to me. To wit I replied, affirmative.

What kind of freaking idiots are in charge of our Armed Forces — pardon me, our “unArmed Forces”? What would they prefer that Abdulazeez had been able to kill all the Marines and Sailors at the Naval Support Reserve Center? Let me draw an interesting contrast: Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus is more concerned about lifting the ban on transgendered Sailors. Mabus has a problem in that for the first time since 2007 the US Navy will not have a Carrier Battle Group operating in the Persian Gulf. But this knucklehead has no problem with the Navy seeking to destroy the career of a Sailor, a commander of an installation, returning fire against an Islamic jihadist attack. I do not care if it was his personal weapon, he deserves a medal for facing the enemy.

Folks, this has become the Obama military that will not implement policies for our men and women in uniform to be protected — but will punish them if they do protect themselves. What ever happened to the Navy of John Paul Jones, Farragut, Halsey, and Nimitz? What has happened in our America where we believe that our men and women in uniform — especially the commanders — are just targets for these damn Islamic jihadists?

Can you imagine the message this sends to ISIS and all the enemies of America? We are going to end his career and court-martial a man who drew his sidearm to protect his command, and the assigned Sailors and Marines.

What is the difference between Lt. Cmdr White and the reserve officer in Moore, Oklahoma who went to his vehicle and armed himself to prevent a second woman from being beheaded? Is it that we expect less from our uniformed warriors? Are they just supposed to sit and be butchered, gunned down, until local law enforcement come along? Let’s be very clear here, I can attest that there are many reserve and National Guard troops who are carrying concealed during their drill periods…why? Because they are lions, not sheep, like the imbeciles who are making the decision to punish Lt. Cmdr White.

Doggone, what does it take? Here we have a known deserter, Bowe Bergdahl, out getting picked up smoking marijuana, or at a house growing marijuana. According to Susan Rice, he served with honor and distinction. The real men of honor such as Army First LT Clint Lorance, and now it seems Lt. Cmdr White, are forced into jail.

Ponder this, Obama will pardon drug dealers, but men who fight the enemy are imprisoned? Now, can someone, any one of you inane characterless liberal progressive trolls explain that to me? Explain it to us that you would rather have had more Sailors and Marines die than for this Navy Commander to draw his personal weapon in defense of his command. That’s what the Naval Support Center was for Lt. Cmdr White — his responsibility to defend, protect.

Here we have a president and secretary of state sitting down with a sworn enemy in Iran who holds four Americans hostage, and we’re going to bring charges against an American Naval Commander who returned fire against the enemy.

This is indeed FUBAR!

Here’s what needs to happen. Flood the phone of SecNav Ray Mabus and SecDef Carter and ask them whose side they’re. Demand the charges being brought against Lt.Cmdr White be immediately dropped. If those charges are not dropped, I will personally lead the charge to have Carter and Mabus removed from their positions.

America, this cannot be tolerated and must not be allowed to stand. I guess the life of an African lion means more to these liberal progressives than one of our brave Sailors. It is beyond belief that the Navy would embark upon this folly — they could simply issue a “local letter of reprimand” that would not enter into Lt. Cmdr White’s permanent personnel file — then immediately pin a medal upon his chest and fast track him for promotion to Commander.

White exemplifies the highest and finest of character and tradition of the US Navy. Those who would bring charges against him are indeed cowards and need be exposed.

Lieutenant Commander Timothy White, I await your call, and I will not rest until these charges against you have been dropped. You stay strong. You showed that you are Steadfast and Loyal. And we will not allow you to be abandoned to the perfumed princes of the Pentagon…and the White House. America shall rally to your cause!

This is just another in the long line of reasons why we must NEVER allow a progressive socialist to be commander-in-chief.

Mark Steyn: GOP Base Tired Of Being 'Stiffed' By Leadership

Steyn sure hit a raw nerve with me.

Video 138

"Rand Paul says Washington is broken. The problem is, that if you’re a Democrat, Washington isn’t broken. It works very effectively for you."

Just think about that for a moment. I was elated when we took the House in 2010 and the Senate in 2014. But what have we got to show for it? Two words Jack shit. By comparison look what the Democrats have delivered:

ObamaCare

Barry skated on all his crimes and scandals

SSM

Skirted Congress on the 5 for 1 swap

Decreed amnesty another end around Congress

Reestablished diplomatic ties with Cuba
(Ultimately this is the back door to closing down Gitmo)

Odds are we're going to get the high hard one on the Iranian deal

And Killary's emails and illegal donations to the Clinton Foundation will most likely be swept under the rug.

What have we produced?

Tears from this guy.

He said this about the IRS scandal.

"My question isn’t about who’s going to resign, my question is who’s going to jail over this scandal?"

Of all the scandals in this administration please name me one person who is in jail. In the meantime Lois Lerner is living large picking up her $180,000 a year pension. Not to mention a $129,000 bonus while she was under investigation! These weak kneed Republicans can't even muster up the balls to impeach Koskinen... they actually expect Barry to fire him!

We've had Congressional hearings up the ass. Issa, Chaffetz, Gowdy, run around like dogs trying to catch their tail. Sure they talk a great game. They ask for evidence on this or that and they get stonewalled every time and do nothing about it.

Aren't they the Congress of the United States of America with the power to impeach?

By all that is right and just Barry should have been impeached and Holder, Lerner, and Koskinen should be in jail.

Do you think they are going to defund Sanctuary cities?
(5 Republicans actually voted against it)

What about Planned Parenthood...Are they going to defund that?

Don't hold your breath. There was an old Rolex ad that went:

The only true test of achievement is result.

Well, I'm still waiting.
