Entire senior management of State Department quit in apparent gesture of defiance to Trump

More great news! Good riddance you lice-infested underlings.

They're quitting because of Trump and Tillerson?

This is the same State Department who 'lost' $6 billion dollars and tried desperately to stonewall the FBI email investigation of their former boss lying, thieving, murdering, all around corrupt bitch Hillary Clinton.

Hope they got a bang out of watching their former boss at the Inaugural.

------------------------------------

The entire senior level management at the State Department has resigned less than a week into Donald Trump's presidency.

A number of senior career diplomats are stepping down from their positions, putting increasing pressure on incoming secretary of state, Rex Tillerson.

It is part of a mass exodus of senior foreign officials who want don't want to be involved in the new administration, the Washington Post reported.

Trump, who has yet to fill many top diplomatic jobs, will now have to make more appointments.

His pick for secretary of state, Tillerson, is expected to be confirmed by the Senate next week.

The State Department confirmed several senior staff and a top arms control diplomat would be leaving.

All had submitted their resignations prior to Trump's January 20 inauguration as is required of officials holding jobs appointed by the president.

They were not required to leave the foreign service but chose to retire or resign for personal reasons, the department said.

The entire senior level of management officials have resigned from the State Department, making incoming secretary of state Rex Tillerson's (pictured) job more difficult

While none of the officials has linked his or her departure explicitly to Trump, many diplomats have privately expressed concern about serving in his administration given the unorthodox positions he's taken on many foreign policy issues.

Turnover among senior leadership during presidential transitions is not unusual, although the career diplomats who are leaving the foreign service entirely had served under both Republican and Democratic presidents.

More resignations are expected to be accepted as Trump's diplomatic team takes shape, according to the officials who were not authorized to discuss personnel matters publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. The now vacant jobs will be filled by subordinates on an acting basis until their full-time appointments are named, the officials said.

Among those whose resignations have been accepted are Thomas Countryman, who had been serving as the acting undersecretary of state for arms control and international security.

Others include Undersecretary for Management Patrick F. Kennedy; two assistant secretaries, Joyce Barr and Michele Bond; and Gentry Smith, who directs the Office of Foreign Missions.

They had been willing to remain at their posts but had no expectation of staying, according to several State Department officials familiar with the resignations.

Undersecretary for Management Patrick F. Kennedy is one of those who have stepped down from his position less than a week into Trump's presidency

Patrick F. Kennedy was the guy who "pressured" the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to declassify an email from Hillary Clinton's private server in exchange for a "quid pro quo" of placing more agents in certain countries.

So these people are residents of the same swamp Clinton lives in.

Gentry Smith (top) and Joyce Barr (Bottom) are two other senior officials who decided to quit

Michele Bond, Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Consular Affairs, also chose to quit. She, like the others who resigned, handed in her notice before Trump's inauguration

Other senior career diplomats to have left the State Department since Trump's election include Victoria Nuland, the former assistant secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, and Gregory Starr, the assistant secretary for diplomatic security. Starr retired on Inauguration Day as did Lydia Muniz, a non-career political appointee who had run Overseas Building Operations.

Kennedy was relied upon by both Democrats and Republicans. He was tapped for the undersecretary post in 2007 by President George W. Bush and stayed on throughout President Barack Obama's term.

His position oversees the department's budget and finances, security, global facilities and consular services.

Kennedy, a diplomat since 1973, was criticized for the department's insufficient security at the diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, where four Americans were killed in 2012.

In testy congressional hearings, Kennedy defended then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's handling of the situation and insisted there was no 'stand down' order to the U.S. military during the attack.

Another Lie!

Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan Resigns

Great News!

This is an excellent opportunity for this guy.

----------------------------------------------------

Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan has resigned, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Thursday. “On behalf of the men and women of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Border Patrol, I want to thank Mark Morgan for his unwavering dedication to our border security mission, and recognize his life-long career in service to the nation,” said Kevin K. McAleenan, the acting commissioner of CBP. Morgan’s resignation comes as President Donald Trump is ordering the construction of a wall on the southern border between the U.S. and Mexico. Earlier Thursday, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto canceled a meeting with Trump that was scheduled for next Tuesday because of their dispute over the border wall.

Madeleine Albright 'ready to register as Muslim' over refugee suspension

Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright introduces Hillary Clinton during a campaign stop in New Hampshire. (Reuters)

Madeleine Albright the former secretary of state, tweeted Wednesday that she is prepared to register as a Muslim in ‘solidarity’ as reports say President Trump plans on suspending the U.S.'s refugee program for 120 days.

Albright said that there is no fine print on the Statue of Liberty and America must "remain open to people of all faiths & backgrounds."

She went on to say that she was raised Catholic, became Episcopalian and “found out later my family was Jewish.”

“I stand ready to register as Muslim in #solidarity,” she tweeted. The Hill reported that she is following in feminist icon Gloria Steinem’s vow to become Muslim if there is ever a registry.

Albright was a vocal critic of Trump in the election and lended her support to Hillary Clinton. She made headlines last year when, at a rally in New Hampshire, she said there's a special "place in hell for women who don't help each other."

She later clarified those remarks and called it an "undiplomatic moment."

Does anyone truly believe this is going to assimilate into our society?

Defeated Clinton considers launching liberal television show to lay the groundwork for ANOTHER White House run

Hillary Clinton is considering another run for president – and is mulling the idea of launching a television talk show to soften the ground for 2020.

Clinton would be 73 years old if she were to challenge President Donald Trump – again – and win the White House the next time around.

Launching a TV program now would make her America's second-oldest female news or talk show host on the small screen, after only Joy Behar of 'The View.'

Author Ed Klein wrote Wednesday on his blog that according to a Clinton insider, the former secretary of state is open to the idea.

Hillary Clinton is considering the creation of a TV show to position herself for a third presidential run, sources tell author Ed Klein

Clinton got plenty of on-air experience during the 2016 campaign, but has never hosted a broadcast program. She is seen during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in May, 2016, during her run for president

'She thinks being the host of a popular TV show would energize the Democratic Party base and her tens of millions of fans,' the unnamed source said, according to Klein.

'It's a way to make a comeback and position herself for another run at the White House starting in a year or so.'

Clinton, Klein writes, recently told a group of friends gathered at her Washington, D.C. home: 'I'll be back' – and delivered the line in an Arnold Schwarzenegger 'Terminator' accent as she raised a glass of wine.

A planned comeback as a presidential candidate for the third time would preclude the idea of running for mayor of New York City.

It would also take more lucrative opportunities off the table, including corporate boards and university chancellorships.

But the Clintons are among the nation's richest Democratic politicians, reaping hundreds of millions of dollars in speaking fees since Bill Clinton left the White House in 2001.

The defeated Democrat sat stone-faced last Friday as Donald Trump was sworn in as president, and wants another bite at the apple

Among Clinton's barriers to a 2020 run that a TV show could allay include public misgivings about her health; last September she had to be dragged into her van after collapsing

Keeping up with the daily grind of a TV show would also allay fears among Democrats that her health is too frail to survive the rigors of the presidency.

Klein's source said Hillary has 'been talking very seriously' about a star turn on television.

'As a TV host, she’d discuss the issues of the day from a progressive point of view, have top guests, interview world leaders and progressive thinkers.'

Hillary, in this scenario, would control everything about the show to make sure nothing unexpected could derail her future ambitions.

'She's convinced she'd get fabulous ratings in a political climate where there's so much anger in Democratic circles over Donald Trump's election,' the insider said.

It's unclear where a Hillary Clinton show would air, or when.

But the source declared to Klein that Clinton is 'utterly determined not to fade into the background. She intends to stay in the limelight and keep fighting the good fight.'

'She knows Obama is going to be out there fighting too. But frankly, she doesn't think he's a great leader or a great fighter, which leaves an opening for her to be the acknowledged leader-in-exile of her party.'
