'This Is Political Violence': Milo Talks to Tucker Carlson About Fiery Berkeley Riots

Ready for this? This is the university that started the Free Speech Movement!

Malcolm X spoke here and so did Capt. Ralph Forbes of the American Nazi Party. Which makes the sign below all the more amusing.

Let's face it. Trump could assemble the team which found the cure for cancer.

The NYT headline:

Trump can't cure the common cold

-------------------------------

One night after violent protests erupted at the University of California-Berkeley before his scheduled speaking engagement, conservative activist and journalist Milo Yiannopoulos joined Tucker Carlson to discuss the incident.

Yiannopoulos, a Breitbart News editor, said he was preparing for his speech on the campus Wednesday night when the ground floor of the building was stormed by protesters, violence broke out, and he was evacuated by his security detail.

"That is the price you pay for being a libertarian or a conservative on American college campuses," Yiannopoulos said.

He argued that the mainstream media helped create this environment on college campuses by labeling ordinary conservatives "white supremacists," "anti-Semites," "racists" and "sexists" when they're not.

"There's an inevitable, obvious consequence to this," Yiannopoulos said. "The media has created this environment in which it's OK to say almost anything about somebody who is right of Jane Fonda."

He said that people should have to answer for this "political violence," because it's only going to get worse.

You gotta love this one.
They destroy the very store of the company who was going to hire their beloved refugees.

"The establishment - the media, academic, and entertainment establishment - has made certain sorts of political opinion - respectable, reasonable, mainstream opinion - impossible to express in public."

Austria bans use of full-face veils in 'public places'

The liberal response.
Oh No, say it ain't so!

Lemmings (especially Hollywood) who unthinkingly join a mass movement, in a headlong rush to bring about their own destruction.

Following in the footsteps of other countries, Austria is set to prohibit the use of Islamic full-face veils in courts, schools and other “public places.”

Chancellor Christian Kern said Monday the new measures approved by a coalition of Social Democrats and the centrist People’s party are an effort of countering the rise of the far-right Freedom Party, which has witnessed a surge in support that resulted in the party’s presidential candidate nearly winning the election in December.

"We believe in an open society that is also based on open communication. Full-body veils in public spaces stand against that and will, therefore, be prohibited," said the text of the coalition agreement published on Monday.

The ban would apply to the burqa and niqabs, which cover all or most of the face and are often worn by conservative Muslim women.

Kern added that he wanted to avoid “giving 600,000 Muslims in Austria the feel that they are not part of our society,” DW reported.

The ban would also prohibit police officers, judges and magistrates and public prosecutors from wearing head scarves in the interest of appearing “ideologically and religiously neutral” while serving the state. It also included provisions to curb job access for foreign laborers, especially those from eastern nations, and requiring that 30 percent of a company’s supervisory board members be female.

The French parliament passed an act more than six years ago that made France the first European Union country to ban the niqab and burqa, the full-face or face-and-body coverings worn by some Muslim women, in public places.

Last month, Chancellor Angela Merkel said the full-face veil should be prohibited in Germany “wherever it is legally possible,” and earlier this month the African country of Morocco reportedly banned the burqa, citing security reasons.

Various burqa bans have also been approved in Belgium, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, and Switzerland.

Colorado lawmaker wants to let victims of crimes committed by illegals sue politicians in “sanctuary cities”

Make it happen

A Colorado state representative announced a bill Monday that would allow victims of certain crimes committed by illegal immigrants to sue state and local politicians who defy federal immigration authorities seeking to enforce the law, multiple news outlets are reporting.

Republican state Rep. Dave Williams, who is Hispanic, said he wants to strip the “immunity” from Democratic politicians who “place Coloradans in danger because of the sanctuary city policies that they created and continue to implement,” the Denver Post reported.

“As the first Latino elected to Colorado House District 15, I think it’s important that we do all we can to uphold the rule of law and ensure all communities, regardless of race or ethnicity, are protected from dangerous policies that are forced on us by radical, out-of-touch politicians who continually sell out to an unlawful agenda that increases the number of criminals, and needless deaths among our fellow citizens,” Williams said, according to The Colorado Statesman.

Williams called out by name Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, who said on Friday that he would “welcome” the sanctuary city label for Denver.

“If being a sanctuary city means that we value taking care of one another, and welcoming refugees and immigrants, then I welcome the title,” Hancock said in a video posted to YouTube, adding: “If being a sanctuary city means that our law enforcement officers are expected to do the work of federal immigration authorities, or violate the constitutional rights of any of our people, we reject that.”

Sanctuary city policies were vaulted into the national discussion by the July 2015 murder of Kate Steinle, whose alleged shooter was in the country illegally but had avoided deportation due to San Francisco’s sanctuary city policies.
