Didn't see this one coming

REVEALED: Married political analyst Scottie Nell Hughes plans to sue suspended Fox Business host Charles Payne for sexual harassment after he 'coerced her into a three-year affair'

He 'coerced her into a three-year affair'?
Good luck at making sexual harassment charges stick.

------------------------------

  • Payne, who hosts Making Money, was accused of sexual misconduct by Hughes
  • Hughes alleges Payne coerced her into a relationship with threats of reprisals
  • They reportedly had a three-year affair after which she was dropped by Fox
  • Hughes says Fox had it in for her because she reported affair to their lawyers
  • But sources say Payne's wife saw them flirting at his birthday and told Bill Shine
  • Shine, then head of programming, dropped the Trump supporter, sources said
  • Married dad Payne apologized for affair with Hughes, also married, Wednesday
  • But his lawyer says he 'categorically denies' any acts of sexual harassment

The analyst whose accusations of sexual harassment have led to Fox Business Network's Charles Payne being suspended has been identified as Scottie Neil Hughes.

It emerged Thursday that Payne, who hosts Making Money, had been accused of having a three-year affair with a married political analyst who had worked for CNN.

That woman was Hughes and their relationship was well-known within Fox News circles, ten sources told the Huffington Post.

Making Money host Charles Payne (top) has been suspended after an allegation of sexual harassment made by married analyst Scottie Neil Hughes (bottom), who had an affair with him

The Fox Business host (pictured with his wife) a married father, as admitted to the affair, but denies claims that he coerced Hughes into the relationship with threats of reprisals

Hughes is best known for her pro-Trump appearances on CNN during last year, when she made a string of gaffes, including referring to Molotov cocktails as 'Mazel Tov cocktails'.

But she also worked as an unpaid guest commentator on Fox from 2013-2016 - during which time she struck up an affair with the married father, according to the Los Angeles Times.

They barely hid their illicit encounters, apparently sharing a hotel room at a May 2015 company trip to the Money Show in Las Vegas, sources told The Huffington Post.

Payne, who was hosting Making Money With Charles Payne at the event, disappeared with Hughes for 'hours' at one point, the sources claimed.

And Hughes, who is also married, attended Payne's birthday party at his home in 2015, where the pair's behavior reportedly made Payne's wife uncomfortable.

Hughes now claims that she was coerced into the relationship with threats of reprisals.

Hughes (not pictured) reportedly also say she hoped her relationship with Payne (center) would get her a permanent place on Fox. Instead she was fired after Payne's wife saw them interacting at his birthday party and told then-Fox exec Bill Shine, sources say

But she also told her lawyer that she had stayed in the relationship because she thought he would help her land a permanent position at the network, sources told the Times.

Hughes tried to talk about the situation with former head of programming Bill Shine, who left Fox News this May - but to no avail, her lawyer says.

She eventually reported the affair to Fox's law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, when it ended in 2015, telling them of the threats she had allegedly received.

She says that led to her being blackballed from the show.

But according to the Huffintgon Post, the channel stopped bringing her in after Payne's wife - upset by the pair's behavior at his birthday party - told Shine.

He then barred her from appearing on Fox News or Fox Business, multiple insiders said, despite her vehement support for Trump making her an ideal fit for the channels.

Hughes' lawyer is now preparing a legal complaint against Fox News and Payne.

Payne, a married father, acknowledged to the extramarital affair on Wednesday.

'I would like to extend an apology to my family and friends for having been involved in a romantic affair that ended two years ago,' he said in a statement to the National Enquirer.

However, Payne's s lawyer told the Los Angeles Times that his client 'categorically denies' any acts of sexual harassment against Hughes.

Hughes claims Fox stopped hiring her not because of Payne's wife's complaints, but because of a vendetta after she reported the affair and alleged harassment to their lawyers

Fox Business recently renewed Payne's contract.

A spokesman for the channel said that the company takes 'issues of this nature extremely seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy for any professional misconduct.'

He added: 'This matter is being thoroughly investigated and we are taking all of the appropriate steps to reach a resolution in a timely manner.'

As well as departing Fox, Hughes was dropped from CNN in part due to her on-air slips.

She is now national spokesman for the pro-Trump PAC The Committee To Defend The President.

The accusations are the latest in a series of allegations of sexual misconduct at Fox.

Popular right-wing host Billy O'Reilly found out he was fired from the network in April, while on vacation in Italy, after an African-American woman accused him of sexual harassment.

She said he would call her 'hot chocolate' when he walked by during the day, and would grunt at her 'like a wild boar'.

O'Reilly denies all the claims against him.

Ex-Fox News Latino Vice President Francisco Cortes and 21st Century Fox settled sexual assault allegations against him by political commentator, Tamara Holder.

But the biggest departure came last year when former boss Roger Ailes was forced to resign amid a flurry of sexual misconduct allegations.

He left Fox with a $60 million payout.

At least 101 shot, 15 killed during violent Fourth of July weekend in Chicago

Remember William H. Thompson? Neither do I. But he was the last Republican mayor of Chicago going all-the-way-back to 1923! Isn't it time for a change? But next election, you guessed it, will be another Democrat. Why keep electing Democrats over and over and expect a different result? Rahm Emanuel is certainly one of the worst mayors Chicago has ever seen. Yet a Republican would not stand a chance against him. Oh...and let's not forget those gun control laws. Along with Washington D.C. the most stringent in the nation. How's that working out? The story below reads more like Syria than a city in American.

Now you know why they call it Chiraq.

Band of 'Brothers'.

The BLM demonstration was canceled upon learning all those shot were shot by other blacks.

------------------------------

CHICAGO -- The city of Chicago flooded the streets with 1,000 extra police officers during the Independence Day weekend. But they could not stop an eruption of gun violence.

The extra-long holiday weekend was the bloodiest in recent years. At least 101 people were shot, nearly half in the last 12 hours of July Fourth. To give you a sense of the enormity of that number, that's the amount of passengers that can fill most regional airplanes. At least 15 people were killed.

To see the violence for ourselves, CBS News spent Tuesday night with Tim White, a former gang leader who now works to stop violence in the streets.

"We're on our way to a murder scene," White said. "We gotta turn those lights on."

We rushed to the site of the murder, a liquor store on Chicago's West Side. As police sealed off the crime scene, it was too much for some to bear.

We learned that just after midnight, two people were shot in one of the alleys. You could see a body on the sidewalk that police covered with a blanket. The body laid there for hours as police continued their investigation.

"CBSN: On Assignment" spent the last week in Chicago to witness the violence from the inside. Young men told us how easy it was to get guns.

Just as we arrived at one crime scene over the weekend, we could hear on the police scanner there was another shooting a mile away.

Because it was the Fourth of July holiday, it was hard to tell whether sounds across the city were fireworks or gunshots, but locals told us they can spot the difference because they are used to it.

In one instance, we were at the scene where a man was dead from a gunshot to the head and covered by a blanket. We waited to see when the coroner's office would arrive to retrieve the body, but we had to leave -- and that was after being there for two hours possibly because of the high cases of shootings that night.

Before the holiday weekend, the Chicago Police Department announced they are changing the way they fight gun violence. They're forming a new task force with federal and state agencies to stem the flow of illegal guns and are trying to curtail the violence.

However, illegal guns are coming from everywhere. The focus is on tracking guns and where they originate.

As we spoke with residents about their experiences in Chicago, it was a hard conversation to have. Some talked about unstable family lives and joining gangs and selling drugs. People feel like they are missing opportunities to break the cycle.

Meanwhile, Illinois is in the middle of a budget stalemate and it's running out of money. There have been budget cuts to a program that uses people in the community who help identify conflicts in the neighborhoods before they turn violent.

And of course, there is tension in the police department as budgets to help combat violence are slashed.

Trump WH Budget To Trim $22M; President Donates Salary To Military Cemeteries

Remember when Barry had a Czar for everything but Michelle's toenails?
Wait a minute he might...

You won't see the story below from the MSM. They're immersed in bashing Trump while striving to come up with another scam to replace 'Russian Collusion' which has died on the vine. In the meantime, the WH is moving forward with its agenda and in a show of bipartisanship, Trump has even reached out to the left sending Morning Joe's ratings through the roof.

As you're reading this article imagine the savings if they ran a fine tooth comb over all government agencies.

------------------------------------

President Trump hasn't exactly drained the swamp that is Washington, D.C. (it is a big swamp, after all), but the president is making headway is clamping down on over-spending.

Take the White House payroll. New projections show the four-year savings on White House payroll could top $22 million, Forbes reports, citing "savings come from President Trump’s refusal to take a salary as well as big reductions in other areas including the absence of czars, expensive 'fellowships,' and spending on FLOTUS staff."

For the record, Trump said he would not take his $400,000 annual salary, and in the first fiscal quarter of the year, he donated his pay to the Department of the Interior "for construction and repair needs at military cemeteries."

Here are some key findings, from Forbes:
  • There are 110 fewer employees on White House staff under Trump than under Obama at this point in their respective presidencies.
  • $5.1 million in payroll savings vs. the Obama FY2015 payroll. In 2017, the Trump payroll amounts to $35.8 million for 377 employees, while the Obama payroll amounted to $40.9 million for 476 employees (FY2015).
  • Nineteen fewer staffers are dedicated to The First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS). Currently, there are five staffers dedicated to Melania Trump vs. 24 staffers who servedMichelle Obama (FY2009).
  • Counts of the “Assistants to the President” – the most trusted advisors to the president – are the same (22) in both first-year Trump and Obama administrations. In the Trump White House, Steven Bannon, Kellyanne Conway, Omarosa Manigault, Reince Priebus, Sean Spicer and 17 others make salaries of $179,700. In Obama’s first-year, David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel and twenty others held the title with top pay of $172,000.
  • The highest compensated White House Trump staffer? Mark House, Senior Policy Advisor, has a salary of $187,500. Mr. House is “on detail” from a federal agency which allows him to exceed the top pay-grade of $179,700. In Obama’s Administration (2009), David Marcozzi earned $193,000 “on detail” from Health and Human Services.
  • Our review of the Trump White House payroll confirms five staffers dedicated to First Lady Melania Trump. Highly criticized for her twenty-four assistants, advisors, schedulers, directors, toenail czar, deputies, advance aides, associates, social and press secretaries and other helpers, former First Lady Michelle Obama’s staff was only slightly larger than Laura Bush’s staff of eighteen.

Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, both presidential advisors, have also turned down their salaries.

Pray for Pelosi to keep her job

Pelosi Needs to Go: 58 Percent of Democratic Voters Think Party Needs New Leadership

I hate her with a passion. But Republicans need her right where she is.
These are some of the ads tying her to the Georgia special election.

Tell me she didn't come in handy.

---------------------------------------------------

A new Rasmussen poll finds that likely voters think the Democratic Party needs new national leadership as Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi comes under scrutiny in the wake of a string of recent losses in House seat elections.

“Democrats are saying it’s time for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to go, arguing that losses in this year’s special congressional elections show that their party needs new, younger leadership,” the article accompanying the poll results states. “Most Democrats agree.”

The national poll done by telephone and online and published on Monday found that only 31 percent of likely Democratic voters believe the current national leadership represents them.

By contrast, 58 percent feel the party needs new leadership, with 11 percent undecided.

Polling data from all likely voters shows an even higher percentage of American voters who think the Democratic Party needs new leadership.

According to the poll, 64 percent think the current Democratic leadership is not representative of their voter base.

The survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted on June 22 and 25, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points.

The true legacy of "Hope & Change"

Senate Democrat blasts 'Obamaphone' over fraudulent findings, complete lack of oversight'

Anyone remember this turd?

Video 360

Another torpedo in the bow of the U.S.S. Sinking Barry. But in his own mind, he was the 4th best president of all time.

The Legacy:

Seem like a far cry from when the Messiah was on Mt. Sinai with the Twin Tablets.

"... A LIGHT WILL SHINE THROUGH THAT WINDOW, A BEAM OF LIGHT WILL COME DOWN UPON YOU, YOU WILL EXPERIENCE AN EPIPHANY ... AND YOU WILL SUDDENLY REALIZE THAT YOU MUST GO TO THE POLLS AND VOTE FOR OBAMA" - BARACK OBAMA LEBANON, NEW HAMPSHIRE.
JANUARY 7, 2008.

And who could forget this classic:

“This was the moment when … the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”

The reality is ObamaCare is on the ropes. War hero Bowe is going to jail and God knows what the Taliban 5 are up to. He blew the roof off the deficit. Created BLM and ISIS. Lynch and Rice are under investigation which I'm sure he knew nothing about until Matt Lauer told him. And the capper is... Iran is about two years away from test firing their first nuke he paved the way for.

And a library is coming in his honor.

You're going to see "spin" like you never saw before!

--------------------------------------

A new government audit finds more than a third of enrollees of the "Obamaphone" program may not be qualified -- among other fraudulent findings -- prompting a Senate Democrat to roundly criticize the program's "complete lack of oversight."

A report released Thursday by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) claims the program, which gives cell phones to poor people, stashed $9 billion in private bank accounts, the Washington Times reported.

The 90-page report was requested by Sen. Claire McCaskill, a Missouri Democrat who serves as ranking Democrat on the Senate’s chief oversight committee and who is a former state auditor in Missouri.

"A complete lack of oversight is causing this program to fail the American taxpayer — everything that could go wrong is going wrong," McCaskill said in a statement, according to the newspaper.

"We’re currently letting phone companies cash a government check every month with little more than the honor system to hold them accountable, and that simply can’t continue," she said.

The program -- officially known as the Lifeline Program and run by the Federal Communications Commission -- predates President Obama but received attention during his time in office when recipients began to associate the free phone with other benefits given to the poor, the paper reported.

The GAO report found that about 10.6 million people have an Obamaphone, but 36 percent of them may not qualify, according to the Washington Times. The audit also concluded that more than 5,500 people were found to be enrolled for two phones, while the program was paying for about 6,400 phones for persons the government has listed as dead, the paper reported.
