Obama: ‘US is like Nazi Germany in 1930s'

Barry tries to equate Trump with Hitler?

Want to talk about The Holocaust? How about a nuclear one? Barry took the Clinton schematic, which gave North Korea nukes, and applied it to Iran. All you have to do in Clinton's speech is substitute Iran for North Korea and it's the same s--t.

Barry once said he wanted the Iran deal to secure his legacy.
He hit the bullseye.

What did Yogi say...It’s like déjà vu all over again.

FORMER US President Barack Obama said the country’s democracy is under threat and is as fragile as Germany’s was in the lead-up to the Nazis taking power.

Speaking at a question-and-answer session at the Economic Club of Chicago, Mr. Obama warned against voter complacency.

“We have to tend to this garden of democracy or else things could fall apart quickly,” he said in the speech, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.

“That’s what happened in Germany in the 1930s which, despite the democracy of the Weimar Republic and centuries of high-level cultural and scientific achievements, Adolf Hitler rose to dominate.

“Sixty million people died,” he added. “So, you’ve got to pay attention. And vote.”

Adolf Hitler became Chancellor in January 1933 after rising through the democratic ranks of the Reichstag.

Hitler’s rise is seen as a dramatic failure of democracy in the Weimar Republic.

Obama did not mention Donald Trump by name in the speech. However, the US President has been widely accused of fuelling anti-Muslim sentiment across the US — particularly after he circulated videos from a British far-right group last week.

Politicians from the UK roundly condemned him for the move and Germany’s top diplomat announced yesterday that the country no longer sees the United States as the ally it once was.

The former president also spoke of the importance of the US’s role in international development.

“Things don’t happen internationally if we don’t put our shoulder to the wheel,” he said.

“No other country has the experience and bandwidth and ideals ... If the US doesn’t do it, it’s not going to happen.”

German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel told Deutsche Welle the West is losing influence in the world because of Mr. Trump's leadership.

“The US no longer sees the world as a global community, but as a fighting arena where everyone has to seek their own advantage,” Gabriel told the paper.

“Germany can no longer simply react to US policy but must establish its own position … even after Trump leaves the White House, relations with the US will never be the same.”

The president has also been accused of being “reckless” after he officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and declared his intention to move the US embassy there from Tel Aviv.

Some were quick to point out the irony of the Nazi Germany comparisons so soon after the announcement — which is seen as a sign of Mr. Trump’s support for Israel.

His fans reacted angrily on Twitter.

damn if Trump is a nazi, Hitler is rolling in his grave, after our President just made it official that jeruselum is the Capital of the Jewish Holy land and moving the US embassy there, some Nazi, liberal dummies

In my mind, Barack Obama has betrayed the united states of America. Comparing @realDonaldTrump to Hitler is the final straw. Going over seas shadowing Trump is one thing. Calling the duly elected president of the United States Hitler is another, especially being a former potus.

Speaking in a panel piece Fox News commentator Jesse Watters said he thought Mr. Obama was “better than this”.

“To compare his successor to Adolf Hitler is horrible,” he said. “It’s demeaning and beneath him."

“I thought he was better than this, I guess I was wrong. I’m not often wrong but I guess I am."

Arpaio ‘seriously, seriously’ considering running for Senate

Quick get your checkbook.

I would be elated to swap the Flake for Joe. The only drawback for Joe in 'illegal rich' AZ is he won't get one vote... unlike the DACA loving Flake.

You have to wonder about AZ. McCain, Flake, and Franks all from the same state. Can't get much worse than that!

-------------------------

Former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he's "seriously" considering a run for U.S. Senate in 2018, throwing cold water on rumors the outspoken lawman who was pardoned by President Trump earlier this year will run for Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.)'s seat.

Arpaio told The Daily Beast on Thursday that he is actively looking at the possibility of running for the seat currently held by Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who is retiring in January.

“I am seriously, seriously, seriously considering running for the U.S. Senate,” Arpaio said, “not the congressman’s seat.”

Arpaio's comments followed Franks's announcement Thursday that he would resign his House seat after the House Ethics Committee said it would investigate his comments about surrogacy with female staffers.

"Due to my familiarity and experience with the process of surrogacy, I clearly became insensitive as to how the discussion of such an intensely personal topic might affect others," Franks said in a statement Wednesday. "I deeply regret that my discussion of this option and process in the workplace caused distress.”

In the interview Thursday, Arpaio called Franks's resignation a "great loss" for the state of Arizona.

“He is a great man and a great friend, and it’s a great loss for Arizona and our country," Arpaio said, before again dismissing the possibility of running for Franks's seat. Arpaio noted in the interview that he does not reside within Franks's 8th District.

“No, I would not consider it, but I am considering running for the Senate, Flake’s seat,” Arpaio said. “I feel like I just gave you a little scoop there.”

Trump pardoned Arpaio earlier this year after the former sheriff was convicted of contempt of court for refusing to stop racially profiling Hispanics at traffic stops for the purpose of immigration checks.

“Sheriff Joe Arpaio is now 85 years old, and after more than 50 years of admirable service to our nation, he is a worthy candidate for a presidential pardon,” the White House said at the time.

Bernie Sanders' wife's land deal still under FBI probe; witness recently questioned

Jane Sanders remains under federal investigation for a land deal she made as president of Burlington College in Vermont in 2010.

It states here, "The probe could thwart Sanders’ 2020 presidential ambitions."

Forgetting Bernie will be 80 in 2020 how may past presidents had to take a timeout at the WH to visit their wife in the slammer?

A federal investigation launched in 2016 into possible bank fraud by Jane Sanders, wife of U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, is still underway -- with “a potential” grand jury review possible.

The probe could thwart Sanders’ 2020 presidential ambitions -- as well as the Vermont political plans of Jane Sanders' daughter, Carina Driscoll.

Individuals questioned by the FBI confirmed to Fox News that the investigation was still open, with FBI agents interviewing at least one witness within the last six weeks.

Jane Sanders is under investigation following a land deal she clinched when she was president of Burlington College in Vermont in 2010.

In order to expand the college, Sanders sought to obtain a tract of land from a Roman Catholic parish. She secured a $6.7 million loan from a bank and a $3.6 million loan from the parish from which she planned to purchase the property.

But she resigned in 2011 amid allegations that she purposely inflated and made up the amount of money donors have pledged to the school and provided incorrect information to a bank to get the loan. Multiple individuals, who were listed as college donors, have since come forward denying the commitments.

Questioned recently

Former Burlington College Board Chairman Yves Bradley told Fox News that the investigation was still underway. He said he was visited by FBI agents in the last six weeks and was questioned about Sanders’ involvement in the alleged bank fraud.

Attorney Rich Cassidy, representing both Bernie and Jane Sanders, approached Bradley regarding the investigation, but by the advice of his counsel decided not to engage. Cassidy did not respond to Fox News’ multiple requests for an interview.

Previous reports stated that the investigation accelerated this past summer when multiple people were questioned and investigators seized records from Burlington College.

The recent questioning of Bradley signals the investigation is far from over.

The probe is being handled by the U.S. Justice Department and will proceed at the discretion of Christina E. Nolan, the U.S. Attorney of Vermont, who was sworn into office last week after being appointed by President Donald Trump in September and confirmed by the Senate last month.

Coralee Holm, the former Burlington College dean of operations, confirmed as well that the probe “has not been closed” and that it has “no specific deadline” for completion. She was among the individuals questioned in the summer.

“I have not talked with anyone since then, other than checking with the FBI agents,” she said over the phone.

To the question whether the investigation could lead to an indictment, she said the FBI agents told her it was “a potential” – although not “an absolute” – that the case will be brought in front of a grand jury.

“If there is going to be something that happened it would be the grand jury … it would be brought in front of the grand jury … they already told me to be … that was a potential but they did tell me that wasn’t an absolute,” Holm said.

Change of plans?

The ongoing probe and the potential for a grand jury review might be enough to impede Bernie Sanders' and Driscoll's political plans.

Politico reported last month that Sanders was angling toward a more mainstream candidacy heading into the 2020 presidential election and reaching out to key Democrats to solidify his support among the party machine.

If this is correct his true character has just been exposed. "Free stuff" went out the window in favor of...I'll say whatever I have to to get elected. You can learn a lot from a Clinton.

Driscoll, the stepdaughter of the senator, announced Monday her plans to run for her stepfather’s first political job: mayor of Burlington, Vt.

Lindsey Vonn: I won't be representing Trump at Olympics

Video 382

Truthfully, I hope this bitch breaks a leg giving the gold medal to another county. I rather see another country get the gold than to have this c--t represent our country.

BTW...the interviewer:

Do you remember her asking when Barry was president---"Since Barrack Obama is the first black president will you accept an invitation to the WH should you win."

Me either.
