Unemployment claims at lowest level since 1969

If you recall when Barry was president we had more people on welfare than in the history of mankind.

Remember this classic...?

Maybe we should rethink voting altogether. Not only do you need voter ID but also must pay taxes in order to vote. Think about that for a second. People vote on issues to spend your money with no skin in the game.

Bet Bernie is her new hero.

April 4 (UPI) -- The number of people who filed for unemployment benefits last week was the lowest in 50 years, Labor Department figures showed Thursday.

Jobless claims reached 202,000 in the final week of March -- the fewest since Dec. 6, 1969. The mark was 10,000 fewer than the week before.

The numbers indicate continued strength in the employment market. Last month, the department said productivity among U.S. workers increased in the fourth quarter of 2018 at a greater pace than expected. Wednesday, ADP and Moody's projected job growth of 129,000 for March. Official monthly government figures arrive Friday and analysts expect them to show job growth of about 170,000.

The positive report Thursday coincided with another study that showed more than 60,000 U.S. workers were laid off in March, topping off the worst quarter for job cuts since 2015 and the worst first quarter in 10 years. The analysis by Challenger, Gary & Christmas said layoffs are up 35 percent over the same period a year ago. Many of the layoffs occurred last month and experts said some have not yet filed for unemployment.

Most of the layoffs for the first quarter of 2019 were seen in the retail sector, 46,000. In March alone, the auto industry saw 8,800 layoffs and the energy sector nearly 8,200.

The 'Maduro' of America

Can you be wealthy... and a socialist at the same time?

Evidently, the answer is yes.

The 'Feel The Bern Cult Followers' do not and will never care about his laughable hypocrisy.

They are all just brainless lazy, deadbeat simpletons the remnants of Occupy Wall Street who want wealth taken away from anyone who has earned it and given directly to them.

GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham defends Biden as 'my friend,' says he wasn't 'driven by malice'

Vice President Joe Biden continues to face allegations of making women uncomfortable as three more women come forward with inappropriate touching allegations however, some Republicans are coming to his defense.

The latest was Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who on Wednesday said that Biden "is my friend" and that "whatever he did, it may have been inappropriate, but it was not driven by malice or misconduct," per NBC's Frank Thorp.

The number of allegations against the former VP rises to seven women over the past week have said Biden made them feel uncomfortable with inappropriate touching, with two more saying as much on Tuesday, per The New York Times.

Previously, Biden had received a defense from Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), who said that he is "very friendly" and a "natural toucher" but that she "never found him to be inappropriate," per HuffPost. The View's Meghan McCain also defended Biden on Monday, tweeting that he is "one of the truly decent and compassionate men in all of American politics."

Democrats are also coming to Biden's defense, including Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.), who said that the former vice president is a "warm and friendly" person and that he "didn't mean it as anything other than that," per Axios. Some 2020 presidential candidates have offered more criticism, though, with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) saying that "Joe Biden needs to give an answer." Thus far, however, these Democrats have generally declined to say Biden should not run as a result.

This reaction stands in contrast to that of the pro-Trump Great America PAC, which is already out with an ad titled "Creepy Joe." Biden has said per CNN that "not once" did he "believe I acted inappropriately." He has also privately said the allegations will not dissuade him from a presidential run, The New York Times reports.

Anyone notice how Barry has rushed to Joe's defense?
Me either.

Now you know why FOX ratings are through the roof

THIS IS HOW THE LEFT TRIES TO TAKE CONTROL

TV Networks Reject Ads for Anti-Abortion Movie

Pure Flix's 'Unplanned'

Commercials for Pure Flix's 'Unplanned,' arriving in 1,000 theaters on Friday, have been rejected by Lifetime, Hallmark Channel, HGTV and several other cable networks other than Fox News.

If you haven't seen a commercial for Unplanned, an anti-abortion movie critical of Planned Parenthood, it isn't for lack of trying on the part of marketers, whose efforts have been consistently rebuffed by TV networks.

Pure Flix, the distributor behind the box office hit God's Not Dead and other movies aimed a Christians, opens the movie in 1,000 theaters today, but outside of the Fox News Channel, every other mainstream television outlet has declined to air the ad.

Lifetime, for example, told the film's marketers that they declined to air the commercial due to the "sensitive nature of the film," the ad buyers tell The Hollywood Reporter. The marketers, though, note that the network — which is owned by A&E Networks, a joint venture of Walt Disney and Hearst Communications — previously promoted an interview with Scarlett Johansson where she pitches Planned Parenthood.

The Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, HGTV and Food Network, each of which are owned by Discovery, also refused to sell ad time for Unplanned due to the "sensitive nature" of the movie, say those who tried buying air time.

PP kills babies a dime a dozen and they're worried about the 'sensitive nature'?

They said the same thing when the movie came out about this prick.
In fact, what he did is now legal in some states!

Other networks that refused to advertise the movie include the Hallmark Channel and USA Network, the latter of which is owned by NBCUniversal.

"We were looking to spend money, but they didn't want to get involved," said John Sullivan, a producer of Unplanned. THR reached out to all of the networks; Lifetime declined to comment while the rest did not respond.

"Most of the networks didn't go into detail beyond citing the subject matter of the film and that they didn't want to get into politics. But we don't believe we're in the political category," said Joe Knopp, an Unplanned producer.

Marketing Unplanned has been an uphill battle for a few months now since the MPAA saddled the film with an R rating, which filmmakers say will chase away a key demographic: Christians. Indeed, Up TV cited the R rating when it also rejected the commercial, as did several Christian radio channels that also refused to air ads for Unplanned.

The rating also put family-friendly Pure Flix in the uncomfortable position of having to distribute and market an R-rated movie for the first time.

Along with Fox News, The Christian Broadcast Network accepted ads, as has conservative talk radio, with Glenn Beck taking a particularly active role in promoting the movie, including his hosting of a special screening of the movie in Salt Lake City scheduled for tonight. One of the rejected TV commercials, in fact, features a blurb from Beck that reads: "You have never seen anything like this."

Due to the lack of commercial airtime available to the film, marketers have been relying on more innovative techniques. Pure Flix, for example, debuted the film at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February.

Mike Lindell, the founder of My Pillow who invested $1 million in Unplanned, is also promoting the movie, which tells the true story of former Planned Parenthood executive Abby Johnson, who quit the organization to become a prominent pro-life advocate. Unplanned also got some publicity at its Hollywood premiere when singer Joy Villa attended in a dress emblazoned with the title of the film and the phrase, "F*CK Planned Parenthood."

Similar to the networks taking a pass on selling ads, Unplanned previously had no luck licensing mainstream music for the movie, as a half-dozen major music labels said no to the filmmakers, including Disney, Universal Music, Sony/ATV, and Round Hill Music.

So much for... family-themed Disney???

Planned Parenthood issued the following statement about Unplanned, "The claims in this film are simply false. Planned Parenthood is proud to provide expert, high-quality health care to our patients, including safe and legal abortion, in a safe and compassionate environment. The movie promotes many falsehoods including most importantly, distortions and incorrect depictions about healthcare."

Mother of Michael Brown loses bid for public office in Ferguson, Mo.

Guess her campaign slogan ‘Hands Up Don’t Shoot’ didn’t work out so well.

The reality...

------------------------------

Michael Brown’s mother was defeated Tuesday in a three-way race for a seat on the City Council in Ferguson, Mo., where her son was fatally shot by a police officer in 2014.

Lesley McSpadden, 39, finished third in the race for Ferguson's 3rd Ward with 20 percent of the vote, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Fran Griffin, who has been active on several local boards, won with 44 percent. Incumbent Keith Kallstrom received 36 percent.

As a candidate, McSpadden had pledged to make police accountability one of her top priorities.

"I wanted to go back and do something right in a place that did something so very wrong to my son, and I think that's what my son would want as well," McSpadden told the AP.

Brown, an unarmed black 18-year-old, was fatally shot during a confrontation with Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson, who is white, on Aug. 9, 2014. Brown's death touched off months of protests and violence and helped give rise to the national Black Lives Matter movement, of which McSpadden has been a prominent leader.

Wilson, who resigned from the force, was later cleared by a grand jury and the U.S. Department of Justice.

Following the fatal shooting, Justice issued a blistering report of the police and municipal court practices against poor and minority residents that led to a consent agreement requiring reforms that are still being implemented.
