We now live in a time when a child who brings a bible to school may need legal assistance

We have all seen numerous stories such as an Ohio school forced to remove a Ten Commandments Plaque displayed for almost 100 years after an atheist (liberal) moved in and objected to it. Then of, course, we typically have a slew of offended atheists every Christmas season embroiled in spontaneous combustion

should they set sight on a Nativity display. And who comes to their rescue? That good ole God-hating-bastion-of- liberalism... the ACLU. Liberals want God removed from every aspect of your life and so far they're doing a great job.

That's why imbeciles like these two can't figure out why there are so many mass shootings. They want to blame the gun.
Not the God-hating environment they helped create.

NFL star Drew Brees encourages students to ‘live out your faith,’ bring Bible to school

NFL quarterback Drew Brees faced backlash for encouraging Christian children to bring their Bible to school.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is calling on students to participate in Bring Your Bible to School Day as a celebration of faith and religious freedom in America.

The Super Bowl champion, promoting the Oct. 3 event sponsored by Focus on the Family, is urging students to "live out" their faith, sharing one of his favorite verses, 2 Corinthians 5:7, which says "for we live by faith, not by sight."

“So I want to encourage you to live out your faith on Bring Your Bible to School Day and share God’s love with friends. You’re not alone," Brees said in the video.

Organizers say bringing a Bible to public school is legal and participation in the faith-based event is voluntary and student-led.

“As a student in a public school, you have First Amendment rights to engage in voluntary, free speech conversations in a way that does not interfere with or substantially disrupt classroom time and academic instruction,” the website says. “That means you can voluntarily express your personal and religious beliefs to your classmates through verbal or written expressions, as long as you follow school policy and do not engage in these activities during classroom or instruction time.”

Bring Your Bible to School Day is a day for students to showcase their faith to their classmates, but parents in a California school district are suing after they feel their kids were unconstitutionally prohibited from handing out fliers promoting the event. (Focus on the Family)

Should a student need legal assistance, Alliance Defending Freedom, a religious liberty law firm, has offered to help free of charge.

Jim Daly, Focus on the Family president, celebrated Brees' participation Thursday, telling Fox News he has "deep respect" and gratitude for the outspoken Christian athlete.

"His influential voice helps to amplify the overarching theme of the event," Daly said, "that respectfully sharing and expressing your faith powerfully demonstrates God’s love in a world that’s in desperate need of hope and healing.”

Brees recorded the video wearing a "Football 'N' America" t-shirt, promoting the non-contact youth co-ed flag football league he founded for children grades K-10.

American Airlines mechanic in Miami accused of sabotaging plane

Disgruntled??? Overtime Pay???

I got a hard time swallowing that. Gotta love this...

"At American we have an unwavering commitment to the safety and security of our customers...

Well, I don't know about you but I feel a calming sense coming over me knowing I'm about to roar down the runway at 175 MPH safe and sound because Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani was the last one to put his finishing touch on the plane.

An American Airlines flight slated to take 150 passengers from Miami International Airport to the Bahamas in July never took off because it was sabotaged by a mechanic, according to authorities.

The Miami Herald reported that the pilots realized something was wrong when they received an error alert from the air data module (ADM), which helps to navigate the plane, while still on the runway. Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani was charged with "willfully damaging, destroying or disabling an aircraft" for blocking the ADM with a piece of foam.

The mechanic, Alani, told authorities he was trying to get some overtime pay by causing a delay, and was not trying to hurt the passengers or the plane.

Alani was apparently disgruntled with American Airlines as a result of a lengthy dispute between the carrier and its two mechanics unions. The Fort Worth, Texas-based airline has previously accused members of the mechanics unions of purposely doing their work slowly to obtain leverage in contract negotiations.

Passengers on the affected flight boarded a new aircraft, and the plane that had been tampered with was taken out of service, American Airlines said. The aircraft was returned to service after maintenance and an inspection.

"At American we have an unwavering commitment to the safety and security of our customers and team members and we are taking this matter very seriously," American Airlines told FOX Busniess. "American immediately notified federal law enforcement who took over the investigation with our full cooperation.”

The two mechanics unions, Transport Workers Union of America (TWU) and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) condemned the alleged actions "in the strongest possible terms."

"Any conduct that jeopardizes that safety is not tolerated or condoned by the leadership or members of our organizations," the unions said in a statement.

John Samuelsen, TWU president, said the union is "shocked" by the allegations.

"If these allegations of sabotage are true, they are outrageous and indefensible and we fully condemn such actions," Samuelsen said. "Our mechanics are highly trained professionals who are dedicated to performing at the highest standards in the industry, and we will not tolerate anything less."
