Obama Calls Trump Administration’s Response To Coronavirus “An Absolute Chaotic Disaster”

Well, Well, Well...If Trump's handling of C-19 is  “An Absolute Chaotic Disaster” what would you call giving your archenemy, a terrorist regime, $150 billion dollars?

How would Barry have handled C-19? The same way he always did.

------------------------------------

Former President Barack Obama has sharply criticized President Donald Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, describing the administration’s response as “an absolute chaotic disaster” during a call with fellow Democrats, according to a recording obtained by Yahoo News.

The blistering comments came during a Friday call with the Obama Alumni Association, which is made up of people who served in the 44th president’s administration.

“What we’re fighting against is these long-term trends in which being selfish, being tribal, being divided, and seeing others as an enemy — that has become a stronger impulse in American life,” Obama said in the 30-minute recording. “And by the way, we’re seeing that internationally as well. It’s part of the reason why the response to this global crisis has been so anemic and spotty.”

The former president admitted the outbreak would have been bad under any circumstances, but he said with Trump in the White House the situation has spiraled.

“It would have been bad even with the best of governments. It has been an absolute chaotic disaster when that mindset — of ‘what’s in it for me’ and ‘to heck with everybody else’ — when that mindset is operationalized in our government,” he said.

The call, which CNN independently confirmed, was meant to encourage Obama’s supporters to back his former vice president, Joe Biden, in the November election. Obama told supporters he plans to campaign vigorously for Biden, in hopes of defeating Trump.

“That’s why, I, by the way, am going to be spending as much time as necessary and campaigning as hard as I can for Joe Biden,” he stated.

President Trump has consistently defended his response to the COVID-19 outbreak, saying his administration has taken steps to mitigate the crisis, including imposing travel restrictions on visitors from China and Europe as well as implementing social distancing guidelines.

“I think we saved millions of lives,” he said earlier this week.

As of Saturday afternoon, 77,034 people had died from complications of COVID-19 in the United States and 1.27 million tested positive, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.

During the call, Obama also lashed out at the Justice Department for dropping the charges against former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn.

“The news over the last 24 hours I think has been somewhat downplayed — about the Justice Department dropping charges against Michael Flynn,” Obama said.

“The fact that there is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free. That’s the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic — not just institutional norms — but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk,” he added.

Mike Pence’s press secretary tests positive 2 days after Trump valet

What would the Chinese like above all else? Trump dies of C-19. Call me paranoid but I wouldn't put it pass them to send a spy infected with C-19 to infect anyone close to Trump in the hope they pass it on to the president.

Far-fetched you say?

Remember Yujing Zhang the spy at Mar-a-Lago?

Who would have thought this would have happened? But this is how stupid we are. Zhang was never charged with espionage which I find astounding! Despite the fact she carried a Faraday bag, which blocks electromagnetic signals. Inside were four cellphones, a computer and an external hard drive and malware on a USB stick.

In her room at Palm Beach hotel, the authorities found nine flash drives, five cellphone SIM cards, a device used to detect hidden cameras and about $8,000 in cash. Of course, the Chinese denied she was a spy. Speaking of the Chinese lets assume Sarah Johnson was caught at Xi Jinping home. The end result? They would have tortured the shit out of her extracting all the information they could before killing her.

So I'm stating I would not be surprised if the Chinese sent an agent infected with C-19 to get Trump. He has been a major adversary for them tougher than any other president in history. So I say review the videos and see who's who. The Chinese could pull this off.

They know how stupid we are.

Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary has tested positive for coronavirus just two days after one of President Donald Trump’s personal valets was also diagnosed, according to several news reports.

Katie Miller is a familiar presence in the West Wing and married to Stephen Miller, Trump’s speech writer and senior aide on immigration.

Friday’s developments are raising some concerns about the possible spread of COVID-19 at the White House and whether the infection could be circulating among Trump’s inner circle.

Trump confirmed Miller’s diagnosis Friday during a meeting with congressional Republicans at the White House.

“She’s a wonderful young woman, Katie, she tested very good for a long period of time,” Trump said. “And then all of a the sudden today she tested positive. She hasn’t come into contact with me. She’s spent some time with the vice president.”

White House chief of staff Mark Meadows later said every member of Congress who attended the meeting with Trump on Friday was tested for the virus. He added that new protocols were putting a strong emphasis on mitigating the virus at the White House.

“This is the safest place you can come to,” he told reporters.

Pence’s flight to Iowa was delayed for about an hour Friday on the tarmac of Joint Base Andrews in Maryland as officials tried to determine if anyone on the plane had been in contact with Miller, according to several news reports.

About six officials were pulled off Air Force Two as a precaution.

An earlier report by Washington Examiner reporter Rob Crilly that a second Pence aide tested positive Friday was unconfirmed.

Pence’s plane had since landed in Iowa.

Trump said Friday that he was in the Oval Office with the valet on Tuesday, the same day he began exhibiting symptoms, according to a White House correspondent with CBS News Radio.

Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany confirmed Friday that a member of Pence’s staff had tested positive and added that policies were in place at the White House to ensure the safety of the president and vice president.

McEnany also did not confirm any other cases on Pence’s staff.

Late Thursday morning, the White House said Trump and Pence tested negative for the coronavirus, adding the valet began exhibiting symptoms Wednesday.

Valets are like personal assistants who perform gopher duties for the president. According to NBC News, the valet works in the West Wing and is part of a team who brings the president his Diet Coke and meals.

Biden accuser Tara Reade claims he pinned her to a wall and said ‘I want to f*** you’ – as she demands he exits race

No one can deny the preponderance of evidence against Biden weighs heavy compared to the shaky 'evidence' ginned up on Kavanaugh. The only detail she remembered was she had only one beer.

Odd don't you think? She could remember that but not the house or even the street the supposed rape occurred.

So where is that fervor now (shoot first ask questions later) mentality which besieged Trump's SC nominee? Kavanaugh was forced to endure an FBI investigation. Why not Joe? On second thought that might not be such a great idea.

The Dems are caught between a rock and I hard place. They know they're f**ked with Joe and their backup quarterback is Bernie.

-----------------------------

JOE Biden accuser Tara Reade alleges in a new interview with Megyn Kelly that the former vice president pinned her up against a wall and told her "I want to f*** you."

Read told Kelly that Biden should drop out of the presidential race due to her claim that he sexually assaulted her in 1993.

The former Senate aide claimed Biden does not have the "character" for the presidency in her first sit down interview since he publicly denied the allegations.

She said she was bringing Biden's gym bag to his Senate office when the alleged assault took place.

“I remember being pushed up against the wall,” Reade said told Kelly in a clip obtained by The New York Post.

“The first thought I had was ‘Where’s the bag?’ which is an absurd thought, but that’s what I thought."

Reade claims that Biden pushed her against a wall while kissing her neck, then shoved his hand under her skirt and penetrated her with his fingers.

"Do you want to go somewhere else?" Biden then allegedly asked the young aide.

Kelly posted parts of the interview on Twitter on Thursday.

Read filed a criminal complaint against Biden last month despite the fact that the statute of limitations had run out in the case, saying it was for her own protection.

Reade (above in 1993) claims that Biden forced his hand under her skirt and sexually assaulted her in 1993

Biden strenuously denied the allegations in a pair of interviews with Morning Joe and The View.

"I recognize my responsibility to be a voice, an advocate, and a leader for the change in culture that has begun but is nowhere near finished," said Biden on Morning Joe.

"So I want to address allegations by a former staffer that I engaged in misconduct 27 years ago. They aren't true."

Kelly asked Reade how this made her feel during their interview.

“It’s been stunning, actually, how some of his surrogates with the blue checks [next to their Twitter accounts] have been saying really horrible things about me and to me on social media," noted Reade.

She went on to state that there is "a measure of hypocrisy" with how the campaign chose to respond to the allegations by championing women who come forward but discrediting her for doing that exact same thing.

Read said she is also now fearing for her own safety.

“All my social media’s been hacked, all my personal information’s been dragged through, every person that maybe has a gripe against me ... has been able to have a platform rather than me, talking about things that have nothing to do with 1993," she told Kelly.

That is when the host, who has always been at her best when interviewing victims of sexual misconduct, asked what Reade wanted say to Biden.

"You and I were there, Joe Biden,” replied Reade.

"Please step forward and be held accountable. You should not be running on character for the president of the United States.”

Kelly then asked Reade if she believed Biden - who is now the Democratic party's presumptive nominee in the 2020 race - would step down.

"I wish he would. But he won’t but I wish he would. That’s how I feel emotionally," said Reade.

Asked if she might settle for an apology instead, Reade said that "it's a little late."

The Sun has learned that the interview will continue to roll out in segments, and that Kelly did push Reade on some of her claims.

It is all very similar to the interviews Kelly conducted back in 2017 with the women accusing President Trump of sexual assault and harassment.

Reade has yet to appear on any of the major networks, and it is still unclear whose choice that is at this time.

Reade claims to have filed a complaint with the personnel office on Capitol Hill in 1993 after comments made by Biden made her feel uncomfortable.

She said that she spoke to three supervisors at the time as well, whom she identified by name.

None of those individuals recall having that conversation.

A friend of Reade's did however say that she knew about the situation with Biden and was the one who encouraged Reade to file a report.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg released from hospital after being treated for gallstones

Ginsburg underwent nonsurgical treatment for a benign gallbladder condition that was causing an infection.

The Notorious R.B.G. appears to be A-OK.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was released from the hospital on Wednesday after being treated for gallstones, the court said in a statement.

Ginsburg underwent nonsurgical treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore on Tuesday for a benign gallbladder condition that was causing an infection. The condition was detected Monday after the court's historic telephone session for oral arguments. Tests confirmed that a gallstone had migrated to her cystic duct, causing a blockage and infection.

Ginsburg, 87, one of the court's liberal-leaning justices, was "resting comfortably" at the hospital before being released. She was treated last summer for a cancerous tumor on her pancreas, and she underwent surgery in late 2018 for lung cancer.

A court spokesman said Tuesday she is doing well and glad to be home. Ginsburg will return to Johns Hopkins Hospital for follow-up outpatient visits over the next few weeks to eventually remove the gallstone non-surgically.

She has vowed to continue her well-know workout routine and stay on the Supreme Court, which is staffed by lifetime presidential appointments, as long as her health permits.

Ginsburg jumps off...Pelosi 1 hour later:

Justices began hearing oral arguments by conference call this week, a historic feat, after a two-month hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Ginsburg asked questions during the court's telephone argument sessions Monday and Tuesday, and the court said she plans to continue to take part in the oral arguments.

Researcher ‘on the verge’ of making significant COVID-19 finding dead from gunshot wounds

The biology department at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is in mourning after the shooting death of a scientist who it says was studying the biological makeup of the coronavirus and was on the “verge of making very significant findings toward understanding” the disease.

Bing Liu, 37, a research assistant professor, was shot dead Saturday in his suburban Pittsburgh home. He allegedly knew his killer, a man who walked to his car after the shooting and killed himself, according to reports.

Liu's research centers on computational systems biology, and apparently his coronavirus research was leading to breakthroughs.

Bing Liu was a research assistant professor in the Biology Department at the School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh (University of Pittsburgh )

“Bing was on the verge of making very significant findings toward understanding the cellular mechanisms that underlie SARS-CoV-2 infection and the cellular basis of the following complications,” the biology department said in a statement. “We will make an effort to complete what he started in an effort to pay homage to his scientific excellence.”

Liu suffered gunshot wounds to his head, neck, and torso in the incident that happened around noon, according to reports.

Liu was from China and lived with his wife, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported. They had no children.

A motive for the shooting has not been disclosed.

Ivet Bahar, the head of Liu’s department told the paper Liu was a very talented, extremely intelligent, and hard-working individual.

"He has been contributing to several scientific projects, publishing in high-profile journals,” Bahar said. “He was someone whom we all liked very much, a very gentle, very helpful, kind person, very generous."

She added “We are all shocked to learn what happened to him. This was very unexpected."
