One injured after bullet rips into US Air Force helicopter over Virginia; FBI, military investigating

(CNN) — A US Air Force helicopter was shot at near Manassas, Virginia, on Monday, injuring one of two pilots on board, according to an Air Force official.

The UH-1N was flying 10 miles northwest of Manassas on a routine training mission at an altitude of 1,000 feet when the incident occurred. It landed safely at Manassas Regional Airport west of Washington, DC, and the pilot was taken to hospital where they were treated and released, the official said.

The incident is now under FBI and Air Force investigation to determine if the helicopter was deliberately shot at or if someone was randomly shooting into the air. The aircraft will be closely inspected for other damage, the official added.

Randomly shooting into the air?
or...

The airport operations officer Richard Allabaugh reported its air traffic control tower was notified of an "an onboard emergency on a military helicopter that was inbound."

The pilots of the US Air Force helicopter, which identified itself as Mussel 16, can be heard reporting "a medical emergency" in air traffic control audio. The aircraft initially scrapped plans to land at Manassas Regional Airport then informed controllers it would be heading "direct to Manassas."

Paramedics were called to the airport.

The US Air Force 316th wing only confirmed an incident occurred and that the helicopter made an emergency landing on Monday.

"A UH-1N Huey helicopter assigned to the 1st Helicopter Squadron at Joint Base Andrews conducted an emergency landing at 12:43 pm on August 10th in Manassas, Va during a routine training mission," the statement read.

"The Office of Special Investigations is fully engaged with our FBI colleagues on this incident. OSI take threats to our Airmen and our resources very seriously. As this is an ongoing investigation, no further investigative details can be released at this time," it added.

"On Monday, August 10, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the FBI Washington Field Office (WFO) dispatched Special Agents and its Evidence Response Team to the Manassas Airport after receiving reports that a helicopter was shot at from the ground nearby," the FBI Washington Field Office said in a statement to CNN.

"WFO is working jointly with our law enforcement partners, including the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. One individual in the helicopter sustained a non-threatening injury, for which he was treated and subsequently released from the hospital The FBI asks that anyone near this area at the time of the incident who may have information please call the FBI at 202-278-2000," they added.

CNN's Christina Carrera, Greg Wallace and Pete contributed to this report.

Boy, 5, riding bike in yard is ‘shot dead at point blank range by neighbor’

Have you heard much about this in the news?

You know why? It's a non-story. The shooter and the victim are the 'wrong color'.

Boy, 5, riding bike in yard is ‘shot dead at point blank range by neighbor’ in front of his sisters

A LITTLE boy was allegedly shot dead by his neighbor in front of his two terrified young sisters as he cycled in his own front yard.

Cannon Hinnant, 5, was playing as his two sisters watched on when he allegedly rode into 25-year-old Darrius Sessoms' yard.

Cannon was starting Kindergarten on Monday.

Sessoms was taken into custody approximately 24 hours after he allegedly shot Cannon Hinnant in the head, the Daily Mail reported.

The shooting is not believed to be random, however a motive is still unknown.

(Motive... does a motive even exist to kill a 5 year old?)

Sessoms lived next door to Cannon's family and neighbors claim he had dinner with Cannon's father on Friday and was at the house earlier Sunday.

Darrius Sessoms was charged for shooting his five year old neighbor

According to a GoFundMe, Cannon rode into Sessoms yard when riding his bike.

"A beautiful 5 year old baby boy riding his bicycle was shot by his neighbor point blank in Wilson, NC," it read. "One minute he is enjoying life, the next it all ends because he rode into his neighbors yard."

Cannon was set to start kindergarten on Monday, the Daily Mail reported.

"He was just a loving kid," his mother Bonny Waddell said. "He had the biggest heart. It's devastating. No one should ever have to bury their child. No mother should have to go through this."

Sessoms is currently being held without bond and made his first apperance in court on Tuesday morning.

The neighbor was previously convicted of felony larceny of firearms in March 2016, misdemeanor maintaining a place for controlled substance in April 2016 and felony marijuana possession in November 2016.

Check out the destruction these bastards have caused while this worthless waste of skin sits on her ass blaming Trump and weak gun control laws as if her constituents were actually capable of going through the proper channels to acquire a weapon when 80% of them have a rap sheet.
