Michigan Republican lawmakers said they are working to impeach Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer amid new coronavirus lockdowns that were announced in the state.
"Today, myself and a growing list of Michigan Legislators have decided that @GovWhitmer has crossed the line and will be calling for #ImpeachWhitmer hearings," Michigan state Rep. Matt Maddock tweeted Sunday. "The list of violations is long and the call is overdue."
He said Republican state Reps. Daire Rendon, Beau LaFave, Ryan Berman, Shane Hernandez, John Reilly, and others are joining him in the impeachment pursuit.
“Michigan voters know she has committed the following impeachable conduct: Ignored court orders. Violated our Constitutional rights. Completely ignored due process and the legislature. Weaponized [contact] tracing databases to aid democrat campaigns,” Maddock added in a Facebook post.
“Using our kids as political pawns and denied special needs students who depend on the services that occur during in-person classes. Caused the unnecessary death of thousands of our vulnerable elderly who died alone and scared in nursing homes. I’ve listed the first things that come to my mind. What did I miss?” he continued.
"Right now, she is focused on saving lives. The governor will continue to work hard for all 10 million Michiganders. This is about Michigan vs. COVID-19. Governor Whitmer doesn't care if you're a Trump Republican or a Biden Democrat. We are all in this together."
Whitmer announced new health department coronavirus orders on Sunday, including closing in-person high school and college classes, having people work from home if they can, closing casinos, arcades, and movie theaters, ending all sporting events except for professional games, among other orders. The restrictions will last three weeks.
Michigan became a hotbed of controversy earlier this year because of Whitmer’s extended stay-at-home orders. Protests to reopen formed in Lansing in the spring, including one protest in which people carrying rifles and other long guns gathered in the House chamber and shouted at legislators.
Great question by Lou, “Where’s the Justice Dept and the FBI in all this?” What she’s talking about “Dominion Systems’ is fraud beyond the scope of imagination! When these voting systems are set up I assumed there was bipartisan support/agreement on what machines to use and how it was was to be conducted. So the scary part is once they have all the fraud they need does someone flip a switch to make it look like the machines are legit? How could this be allowed to happen? Sadly, not even FOX seems to want to investigate it.
For once Bribem was right, “We have put the together the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics."
Olmert: I hope Biden will have the courage to return to the Iran deal
Former Prime Minister says he prefers Biden's attitude to Israel-PA conflict over Trump's.
Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Thursday expressed his hope that President-elect Joe Biden will have the “courage” to return to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and renegotiate “an even better agreement” that will “deter them from even trying to” advance their nuclear program.
The comments by Olmert were made during a webcast hosted by Long Island University’s Global Service Institute and quoted by Jewish Insider.
Olmert, who negotiated a failed peace deal with Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas, also remarked that — notwithstanding President Donald Trump’s friendly approach to Israel — he “prefers” Biden’s “attitude” toward solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict “because it fits in with what I tried to do” when President George W. Bush was in office.
“I think that Joe Biden’s attitude is the right attitude. It is based on friendship and commitment to the security of the State of Israel, I have no doubt about it,” said Olmert, adding, “I have no fears whatsoever about his presidency as far as Israel is concerned.”
Olmert infamously offered Abbas an extremely generous deal which would have seen a Palestinian state on nearly 95% of Judea and Samaria, which Abbas rejected "out of hand".
Pointing to Trump’s refusal to concede the election and his questioning of the integrity of the vote count, Olmert said that Israel shouldn’t judge the American president only by his gestures and treatment of the Jewish State.
“Donald Trump was a friendly president to the State of Israel, there is no question about it. We are grateful for him. But… it would be somewhat presumptuous and arrogant to think… [only] who is good for Israel. No! We first and foremost have to think who is good for America. And if most of the people think Biden is good for America, then we think and hope that he will be good for the world… And if he will be good for America, if he will be good for the world, almost inevitably he will also be good for us,” the former Prime Minister was quoted as having said.
Here he is condemning the Trump vaccine...well..because it's the Trump vaccine.

Cuomo SECEDES from Trump's Vaccine
(Truly, Cuomo is a world class POS)
Andrew Cuomo responds to Trump's threat to not send vaccine to New York: 'He tries to bully people'
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday accused President Donald Trump of trying to use a potential coronavirus vaccine to intimidate him following Trump's assertion that Cuomo would hold up vaccine distribution in the state for political reasons.
"He tries to bully people -- he tries to bully governors, he uses government as a retaliatory tool," Cuomo told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room," adding that "I'm not going to let a bully push New Yorkers around, period."
In his first public appearance since his election defeat was projected, Trump singled out Cuomo during an Operation Warp Speed announcement at the White House on Friday, saying the federal government will need Cuomo's approval before it can start distributing a coronavirus vaccine in New York in the spring. At that point, President-elect Joe Biden, not Trump, will be president and in charge of distributing a potential vaccine.
"As soon as April, the vaccine will be available to the entire general population with the exception of places like New York state, where, for political reasons, the governor decided to say ... he wants to take his time on the vaccine," Trump said in the White House Rose Garden, adding that "we won't be delivering it to New York until we have authorization to do so, and that pains me to say that."
He continued, "Gov. Cuomo will have to let us know when he's ready for it. Otherwise we can't be delivering it to a state that won't be giving it to its people."
Earlier this fall, Cuomo said that New York health officials would review any US-approved coronavirus vaccine, and that he would recommend New Yorkers not be vaccinated until the state-run process is complete.
Cuomo said Friday that Trump's comments were false, noting that New York was among several states that have established scientific panels to independently approve any coronavirus vaccines approved by the US Food and Drug Administration "to give people confidence in the approval process" in light of concerns that it has been politicized.
"As soon as the FDA approves it, we will have our panel approve it, seven other states will review it," Cuomo said. "And then I can say to the people of New York, 'I know you were dubious, but we had a separate panel review it -- it's safe, take it.'"
Cuomo said that the state panel's review of the FDA's protocol in approving a potential vaccine would be "simultaneous" with the delivery of the vaccine, such that "there will be no delay -- as soon as they get us the drug, we are ready to distribute it."
But Cuomo expressed confidence that such a review would not reveal any problems with a potential vaccine.
"I don't think the FDA is going to play games at this point," he said. "So I don't anticipate any real issue."
