Biden admin, House GOP scrutinize Ilhan Omar's Islamophobia bill

Islamophobia bill?

Yes my friends... this was a figment of our imagination.

911 aka..."The day some people did something."

Perhaps she may be a little jealous and is trying to draw more attention towards Islam because currently BLM is doing a better job of destroying America than the Muslims. Americans will NEVER look at Islam in the same light as they do Catholics, Methodists, Protestants, Lutherans, etc... and for damn good reason.

PS:
To bad we can't sell Minnesota to Canada. We would all be better off.

The Biden administration has outlined several issues it has with Omar's bill

Rep. Boebert: Rep Omar wants public humiliation, not a public apology

Rep. Lauren Boebert speaks exclusively to Laura Ingraham amid feud with Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is pushing a controversial Islamophobia bill, but not everyone – including the Biden administration – seems completely onboard with the proposal.

The Combating International Islamophobia Act directs the State Department to create a special envoy and office on the issue. Under the bill, those entities would monitor and combat Islamophobia around the world.

Additionally, the legislation would update current law regarding how the department reports on human rights and international religious liberty.

According to a House aide, the State Department sent congressional staff a series of concerns it had with Omar's bill.

"While we share the sentiments of the bill, in order to preserve the Secretary’s flexibility to manage the Department, revisions would be appropriate to make mandates and prescriptive provisions into permissive authorities, such that the Secretary would be authorized to set up the office and envoy," the department said in a message last week.

"Similarly, the longstanding preference is not to amend the human rights annual report authority to add in specific topics, as reporting would capture such activities already, and the specification of narrow reporting topics can give the impression of a less than comprehensive scope. It would seem in keeping with the timeliness of the topic, to instead provide for an annual report on the specific topic for a stated period of time, such as [three] years. We note that in several places the bill refers to the 'right to religious freedom' which is formulated under international law as ‘the right to freedom of religion or belief.’"

The House Foreign Affairs committee approved the legislation along party lines last week and encountered fierce opposition from Republicans. The bill is expected to reach the House floor for consideration on Tuesday.

Mitch Hailstone, communications director for the Republican Study Committee, argued on Tuesday that multiple State Department positions were already tasked with combating anti-Muslim bigotry.

In addition, House Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Michael McCaul, R-Texas, told Fox News Tuesday, "The U.S. State Department has requested multiple, substantive changes to this legislation before the House passes it."

"One of their requested changes is to not mandate the creation of the Special Envoy. This indicates the State Department has fundamental concerns with even establishing this office."

Omar's office and the State Department did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

On Tuesday, the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) expressed support for the bill, but indicated it sought additional flexibility on creating the special envoy and office provided under the bill.

OMB's statement read: "The Administration supports passage of H.R. 5665, the Combating International Islamophobia Act. Religious freedom is a fundamental human right. This freedom is enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and is also part of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution."

"The Administration looks forward to working with Congress to ensure the Secretary of State has the necessary flexibility and permissive authority to designate such an office and special envoy and to provide for an annual report monitoring concerning acts of Islamophobia in foreign countries."

The White House and OMB did not immediately respond to Fox News' requests for clarification on where the administration now stands on the bill.

Kamala Harris and the cream of woke America are slammed for their deafening silence after Jussie Smollett's conviction having first branded it a 'modern day lynching'

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10289921/How-Jussie-Smolletts-lies-impacted-America.html

The Democratic Candidate had previously written: 'Jussie Smollett is one of the kindest, most gently human beings I know.  I’m praying for his quick recovery. This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. We must confront this hate'

Chris Wallace leaving Fox News for ‘new adventure’ at CNN streaming service

Wallace as a reporter for WBBM-TV, 1975

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace is leaving the network for a “new adventure” at CNN’s streaming service, he announced Sunday.

“After 18 years, this is my final ‘FOX News Sunday.’ It is the last time — and I say this with real sadness — we will meet like this,” he said at the end of Fox News Sunday, which Wallace has anchored for 18 years. “I have decided to leave Fox. I want to try something new to go beyond politics to all the things I’m interested in.

“I’m ready for a new adventure, and I hope you’ll check it out,” he added. “And so, for the last time, dear friends, that’s it for today, have a great week, and I hope you’ll keep watching ‘FOX News Sunday.’”

The 74-year-old Chicago native, a widely respected journalist who has moderated multiple presidential debates, and winner of three Emmy Awards — did not elaborate on his next apolitical undertaking on the program.

But in a press release sent later Sunday morning, Wallace said he was “thrilled” to join CNN+ — a subscription streaming service slated to make its debut in early 2022.

“I am thrilled to join CNN+. After decades in broadcast and cable news, I am excited to explore the world of streaming,” he said. “I look forward to the new freedom and flexibility streaming affords in interviewing major figures across the new landscape — and finding new ways to to tell stories.”

Wallace, whose father was longtime “60 Minutes” reporter Mike Wallace, praised network bosses for providing him independence and allowing him to report on key stories over the years.

“Eighteen years ago, the bosses here at Fox promised me they would never interfere with a guest I booked or a question I asked, and they kept that promise,” he said during the network’s flagship hour-long 10 a.m. Sunday program. “I have been free to report to the best of my ability to cover those stories I think are important to hold our country’s leaders to account. It’s been a great ride.”

He also gave thanks to regular viewers of the program.

“It may sound corny, but I feel we’ve built a community here. There’s a lot you can do on Sunday mornings,” Wallace said. “The fact you’ve chosen to spend this hour with us is something I cherish.”

In a statement, Fox News Media praised the veteran broadcaster.

“We are extremely proud of our journalism and the stellar team that Chris Wallace was a part of for 18 years,” read the statement. “The legacy of FOX News Sunday will continue with our star journalists, many of whom will rotate in the position until a permanent host is named.”

During his 46-year career, Wallace has also reported for ABC, NBC and the Boston Globe, racking up numerous accolades.

CNN president Jeff Zucker welcomed his new high-profile hire.

This is probably why:

“It is not often that a news organization gets the opportunity to bring someone of Chris Wallace’s caliber on board,” he said in the news release. “This speaks volumes about our commitment to journalism and CNN,+ and we are thrilled to have Chris on the ground of helping us build the next generation of CNN and news.”

After the Smollett verdict not a peep...

This is what these dogs said upon hearing the news about Smollett in 2019.

Screw the facts! Needless to say they didn't even bother reading Smollett's bullshit fairytale before making a comment. All they heard was MAGA (get Trump) which was enough to trigger their stupidity in spades! First they were wrong about Rittenhouse, now Smollett, and not a hint of remorse. These bastards have no shame. Ignore and move on is the only strategy they know.

As crazy as this sounds BLM has a a lot in common with the KKK. Both are built on the foundation of hate.

Melina Abdullah co-founder of BLM (a Marxist and supporter of Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam) announced Black Lives Matter would continue to stand by disgraced actor Jussie Smollett regardless of the verdict

So in essence his skin color trumps everything!

Smollett could shoot someone dear to Abdullah (real name Reimann) and somehow she would find a way to blame the police.

BLM is a terrorist organization with absolutely no credibility. They called the trial a “white supremacist charade” and stated "they could never believe police". They don't care Smollett is a scumbag. Their statement reveals the only thing that matters to BLM is skin color. If you're black you have 100% immunity... circumstances be damned! They had no credibility to begin with and now they're just a f-ing joke.

Update...the POS found guilty of 5 of the 6 charges

Had any of these fools used a half an ounce of common sense? You would have to be incredibly stupid and bias to believe his preposterous story and these 5 were up to the task.

Well what a turn around! We went from Kim Foxx, to the total disbelief of everyone, dropping the case and now he's found guilty of five of the six counts... and don't forget after he got off the son of a bitch tried to sue the city!

Barry and his wife were instrumental in getting the case dropped but they're untouchable just like Hunter's computer.

My post on 2-12-20:

 Jussie Smollett indicted

What will be the final outcome after all the time, effort, and money put into this case? Sadly, I'm going with he'll be sentenced to 18 months and out in 9.

He also lied to the FBI about a letter he received with white powder so there's that to contend with too.

Oh... and lets not forget 'Twana Al's' comment:

Reverend Al Sharpton claimed that the "guilty must face the maximum" for the alleged crime committed against Smollett.

Wonder if that includes Smollett?
