The $5 Trillion Man: Debt Has Increased Under Obama by $5,027,761,476,484.56

April 18, 2012

(CNSNews.com)- In the 39 months since Barack Obama took the oath of office as president of the United States, the federal government’s debt has increased by $5,027,761,476,484.56. Although he has served less than a term, Obama is now the first American president to see the federal government's debt increase by more than $5 trillion during his time in office.

 The MSM reaction

During the full eight years that George W. Bush served as president, the federal government's debt increased by $4,899,100,310,608.44. (Rising from $5,727,776,738,304.64 to $10,626,877,048,913.08.)

The $5,027,761,476,484.56 that the debt has increased during Obama's presidency equals $16,043.39 for every one of the 313,385,295 people the Census Bureau now estimates live in the United States.

At the close of business on Jan. 20, 2009, the day Obama was inaugurated, the federal government’s debt was $10,626,877,048,913.08, according to the U.S. Treasury. By the close of business on April 16, 2012—as many Americans were working to finalize their 2011 tax returns to meet an April 17 filing deadline—the debt had reached $15,654,638,525,397.64.

The $5,027,761,476,484.56 in additional debt that the U.S. government has taken on during the 39 months that Obama has been president is more debt than the federal government accumulated in the first 219 years of the Republic.

The total federal debt did not exceed $5,027,761,476,484.56 until March 14, 1996, when President Bill Clinton was in the last year of his first term in office. On that day, the national debt rose from $5,025,887,531,178.79 to 5,035,165,720,616.33.

This is another fact that bears repeating.

Senator Barack Obama 2006

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

To say he lied would be an understatement!

North Korea Breaks Off Agreement with US

This is a piece from Voice of America. My commentary follows.

The International Atomic Energy Agency says it is now unlikely to send a delegation to North Korea, after Pyongyang stated it is no longer bound by an agreement with the United States not to test missiles and nuclear devices.

Spokeswoman Gill Tudor made the announcement late Tuesday, ending hopes for the visit for which IAEA officials began negotiating with North Korea in March.

Earlier in the day, Pyongyang said it was breaking off a bilateral agreement to halt its nuclear activities and allow IAEA inspectors to enter the country after the U.S. suspended much needed food aid. Washington said North Korea did not keep its end of the bargain when it carried out its failed missile launch on Friday.

North Korea's Foreign Ministry vowed to continue trying to fire a long-range rocket into space to place what it said was a weather satellite into orbit. It also vowed unspecified retaliation now that the agreement with the U.S. is no longer in place.

State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said Tuesday that Pyongyang's statement was "not surprising, given their recent behavior." He said he could not predict whether North Korea is laying the ground work for a future nuclear test, as some fear.

"Frankly, it's very difficult to say. It's a very opaque regime. We parse out their public comments," said Toner. "We also know that in the past, there's been this pattern of bad behavior. So we can't preclude anything at this point."

Then why in the hell do we keep sending money and feeding them?

http://www.armscontrol.org/factsheets/dprkchron

Apparently we sent them a Lincoln hearse stuffed with so many American taxpayer dollars they had to put the old man on the roof.

How many times does North Korea have to dump on us before we get the drift? Same goes for Iran. Why do we fool ourselves by engaging in a senseless dialogue with North Korea when we know they have lied to us time and time again?

Just the other day Food Network did a segment called Hunger Hits Home highlighting childhood hunger in America. Some of these kids had not eaten in 3 days, yet here we are again attempting to send food to these lying bastards. If the North Korean government cared about their own people starving to death why are they investing in Nukes and so called satellite launchings? Couldn't that money be put to better use?

This is not strictly an Obama screw up.

It has been going on through every administration for the past 25 years. They play us for suckers through bribery. It goes like this. They tell us they're going to build a nuclear bomb unless the good ole' US of A sends them cash or food. Obediently, we have done both profusely over the years. What was the end result? They ate the food and used the money to buy the necessary components and the expertise of A. Q. Kahn to build a nuclear bomb, compliments of the American taxpayer.

The scene 6 months from now.

The Secret Service is shaking in their boots.

Watch out... he can barely control himself. He isn't cable of getting mad... he gets "angry".

He's going to put his foot down with the SS  just like he did with the GSA.

Kind of reminds me of this "guy".

BTW...  In the SS prostitutes may not be the only option when it comes to getting boinked.
