Biden's Social Security Administration will give around 70 million retirees a 5.9% boost in payments

They make it sound like Bribem is "giving" it to you. He's not giving you shit! It's because of his inflationary policies cost of living adjustment (COLA) is forced to jack up Social Security payments almost 6%. This is the biggest increase in 39 years! I guess it's just a coincidence this happened while the turd is occupying the Oval Office?

Strategy for the next press conference…

Biden's Social Security Administration will give around 70 million retirees a 5.9% boost in payments

thewashingtontime October 13, 2021

Millions of retirees will see a significant boost to their Social Security checks as the Biden administration gave its cost of living adjustment (COLA) the most significant boost in nearly 40 years.

Social Security checks will raise 5.9%, about $92 for the average retired worker, in a shocking display of inflation. For the last 10 years, an inflation lull has led to checks that rise only 1.65% per year on average.

The Social Security Administration has not raised benefits so drastically year-over-year since 1982.

A typical retired worker will now receive $1,657 a month starting next year while a typical couple’s benefits will rise $157 to $2,753 per month.

To account for the added cost to taxpayers, the Social Security tax will be applied to earnings up to $147,000 in 2022, up from $142,800 this year.

The COLA affects nearly 1 in 5 Americans, 70 million people in total, including Social Security recipients, disabled veterans and federal retirees. About half of seniors live in a household where Social Security accounts for at least half of their income, and one-fourth say they rely on the checks for nearly all of their income.

At the same time, the Medicare Part B premium is expected to rise from $148 per month by about $10.

Prices across the US have risen at the fastest rate in nearly a decade as federal stimulus has pumped trillions into the economy to increase consumer demand at a time when the supply chain for common household goods has been severely disrupted by the pandemic.

The consumer price index rose 5.4 percent in September from a year ago, up slightly from August’s gain of 5.3 percent and matching the increases in June and July.

The dramatic burst of inflation this year reflects sharply higher prices for food and energy, but also new and used cars, hotel rooms, airplane tickets and furniture, among other goods and services.

COVID-19 has shut down factories in Asia and slowed U.S. port operations, leaving container ships anchored at sea and consumers and businesses paying more for goods that don’t arrive for months.

Higher prices are also outstripping the pay gains many workers are able to obtain from businesses, who have to pay more to attract employees.

Average hourly wages rose 4.6 percent in September from a year earlier, a healthy increase, but not enough to keep up with inflation.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jay Powell and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen have assured that inflation is only temporary, but declined to say when it will slow down.

Must be counting on him dying before his term is up.

Prices are up on a wide range of key goods as high inflation continues to hit US consumers

President Biden is meeting with supply chain officials and stakeholders on Wednesday afternoon and will deliver remarks on the market squeeze after that. Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg and National Economic Council Director Brian Deese will also host a roundtable with union representatives, CEOs from companies like Target, Home Deport, Samsung and Fedex and other industry representatives.

Social Security is already doling out more money to retirees than it is taking in in payroll taxes, a problem made worse by the coronavirus pandemic taking tens of millions of people out of the workforce.

Improvements in life expectancy and declining fertility rates have led to an aging population in the US, sure to strain the nation’s social safety net for the elderly.

Social Security is due to run out of money in its trust fund by 2033, at which point it will only be able to hand out the funds it earns from workers – roughly 76% of benefits.

If this is true why in the hell are we spending gazillions of dollars every year on foreign aid? And he wants to spend another 3.5 trillion on some bullshit bill? What about the worthless leeches collecting welfare? Are they still going to get their check?

In 1935, the year the program started, there were about 150 workers for every retiree. Today, there are only 2.7, according to the SSA. That number is only expected to drop over the next 15 years.

Psaki grilled on Biden's 'really terrible polls,' blames Delta variant and unvaccinated Americans

Yes... I'm sure the catastrophic debacles in Afghanistan and the border, not to mention increased food and gas prices, had nothing to do with it.

Biden is taking a beating in the polls

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was grilled Friday about President Biden’s poor polling numbers.

Psaki placed the blame on Americans "who've decided not to get vaccinated."

"I would say that this is a really tough time in our country," Psaki responded. "We’re still battling COVID, and a lot of people thought we’d be through it, including us."

"And because of the rise of the Delta variant, because of the fact that, even though it was a vaccine that was approved under a Republican administration, even though we now have full FDA approval, and even though it’s widely available across the country, we still have … 20% of the country who've decided not to get vaccinated," she added.

"No question that’s having an impact," Psaki said, before concluding, "And of course, as the president has said, the buck stops with him."

In addition to the poor polls, September’s abysmal jobs report saw only 194,000 jobs added to the economy, sharply missing the 500,000 estimate economists gave.

(Did you see the spin job Bribem put on this??? A total crock of shit and of course he didn't take any questions)

President Biden addressed the report Friday and defended his record on the economy as "progress" as his approval rating teeters at 38%.

"In total, the job creation in the first eight months of my administration is nearly five million jobs," Biden said. "Jobs up, wages up, unemployment down. That's progress."

Had to add number eight to their playbook. Because sometimes climate change lets you down.

"F--k Joe Biden" chant is now paying dividends

Video 642

President Biden’s standing among Americans keeps sinking, according to a new national poll.

The president’s approval rating stands at just 38%, with disapproval at 53% in a Quinnipiac University survey released on Wednesday. That’s down from a 42%-50% approval/disapproval rating for Biden in a survey Quinnipiac University conducted last month.

The president received negative scores in the double digits on all but one key issue asked in the new poll, which was conducted Oct. 1-4. And a majority of those surveyed said the Biden administration is not competent in running the federal government.

The above is his overall numbers these are the numbers he's getting on the border.

(Don't know what kind of drugs the 23% are taking)

BTW...FOX is reporting for as long as Bribem's been on the government dole, like 48 years now, he has never once visited the border in any capacity.

I find this quite astounding. He refuses to even visit the shit hole he created!

Oh... and there are more caravans on the way.

What a powerful deterrent!

I believe this needed to be re-posted

Could this be the reason why people refuse to get vaccinated?

When Trump came out with the vaccine it had his "fingerprints on it" it was Kryptonite. Now that Bribem is in the WH, it's the exact same vaccine, but now it's the Holy Grail and his patience is "wearing thin" waiting for you to get vaccinated.

The double-dealing deceit here, even for Democrats, is through the roof!!!

I love Cuomo's remarks. We all know what his destiny turned out to be. I harken back to when Trump sent him the USNS Comfort and it only took him 10 or 12 days to infect the ship with Covid. Probably from the skills he learned controlling the  nursing homes.
