Somebody should put out an All-points bulletin on Jeff Sessions

Guess Who Bruce Ohr’s Wife Worked For

Justice Department Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Director Bruce Ohr's wife, Nellie, appears to be his link to Fusion

GPS founder Glenn Simpson (Left) and former MI6 agent Christopher Steele (Right), who concocted the "dodgy dossier" on President Donald Trump.

How much more stupid can Republicans get? First, they allowed the blatant conflict of interest tarmac meeting to slide with no investigation and now this! I swear to God under a similar situation Barry and his henchman Holder would be all over this like white on rice.

Wonder when it's going to sink into Trey Gowdy's skull the FBI can't be trusted. Comey, Mueller, Strzok, and now Ohr and he's still against a special prosecutor! If I was Trump I would fire Sessions and make Jim Jordan head of the DOJ.

This whole situation is a convoluted mess... but with familiar players who are known liars.

This is an excerpt from Wikipedia.

In early January 2017 a two-page summary of the Trump dossier was presented to President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump in meetings with Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, FBI Director James Comey, CIA Director John Brennan, and NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers.

On 10 January 2017, BuzzFeed was the first media outlet to publish the full 35-page dossier. In publishing the Trump dossier, BuzzFeed stated that it had been unable to verify or corroborate the allegations. The UK issued a DSMA notice on 10 January 2017, requesting that the media not release Steele's identity, although the BBC and other UK news media released the information in news stories the same day. Trump vigorously denied the dossier's allegations, calling it fake news during a press conference. Vladimir Putin also dismissed the claims.

It turns out embattled and recently demoted Justice Department official Bruce Ohr had even stronger connections to Fusion GPS than first announced.

FOX News reported Monday that the director of the Justice Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force’s wife, Nellie, worked for Fusion GPS during the 2016 presidential campaign. It did not specify what kind of work she did, or how closely she worked with the opposition research firm’s founder, Glenn Simpson.

The Daily Caller reports her expertise, however, is Russian politics. She previously worked as a professor at Vassar College, and as recently as two months ago was employed by Accenture Security, a cybersecurity firm.

While it’s not clear if Nellie Ohr had anything to do with former MI6 Christopher Steele’s dossier on President Donald Trump, the Daily Caller’s report suggests it’s at least possible. It states she gave a presentation in early October at the 2017 Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center summit titled “Ties Between Government Intelligence Services and Cyber Criminals – Closer Than You Think?”

The report's description of that session states:

The past year has seen cyberthreat actors arrested, indicted or identified in intelligence reports by US and European governments that many experts believe point to potential ties between government intelligence services and cybercrime actors. In this session learn about the drivers and mechanisms between state and criminal cooperation through a case study that will explore how seemingly ordinary cybercrime can be combined with strategic espionage.

Bruce Ohr was discovered last week to have met with Steele during the 2016 campaign. He also met with Simpson shortly after the election, which was about the time the dossier became a household name in America.

The Justice Department was apparently unaware of his connections, and he was demoted a short time after the original FOX News report aired.
