Oh...and imagine Romney said, "Time to replace a black first lady with a white one."

------------------------------------------

Robert De Niro and his wife, Grace Hightower, have reportedly called it quits after over 20 years of marriage, according to multiple outlets.

A source close to the former couple told Page Six on Tuesday that De Niro, 75, and Hightower, 63, are "not living together at this time."

“Sometimes things don’t work out the way you hope or want them to,” another insider told People magazine.

A rep for De Niro did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

After dating for almost 10 years, the "Wizard of Lies" star and Hightower tied the knot in 1997. They went on to welcome two children together — son Elliott, 20, and daughter Helen, 6.

This isn't the first time the pair have separated. Per People, two years after their wedding, De Niro filed for divorce, and a custody dispute reportedly ensued over their son. However, things were smoothed over and the divorce was not finalized.

De Niro was previously married to Diahnne Abbott, with whom he shares two children — daughter Drena, 47, and son Raphael, 42. He also has 23-year-old twin sons, Julian and Aaron, with ex Toukie Smith.

A great letter to Lebron James from Houston news reporter

Dear Mr. James:

No one in my circles discusses French Modernist artists. That comforts me. Such a conversation would expose me as an illiterate on French Modernism, just as I am an illiterate on how to cook.

When I know nothing of subjects, my mouth stays closed. That's at least one difference in us. You are an economics illiterate. You prove it often. The dishonest "reporters" who cover you want to be your buddy. They won't embarrass you by being honest journalists and treating your words as economics illiteracy.

When you call Trump "a bum," none of them will tell you that statistics rank him as one of our best presidents for black Americans. His tax cuts and freeing us from absurd regulations have resulted in -- after only 18 months -- the lowest unemployment numbers ever for Hispanic and black Americans, and one of the lowest numbers for women.

DURING THOSE 18 MONTHS, TRUMP'S POLICIES CREATED ABOUT FOUR TIMES THE NUMBER OF MANUFACTURING JOBS CREATED DURING THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION'S LAST 18 MONTHS. Remember when Obama mistakenly told us "Our lost manufacturing jobs are not coming back." Maybe manufacturing job growth depends on a president who knows what he's doing.

As a professional journalist, I cringe at some of Trump's buffoonery, like repeating sentences and wearing us out with "great," "fantastic" and other empty adjectives. He is often coarse. He was not my candidate. But there's no question his policies have helped many more minority Americans than Obama. It's not even close. Today, he's working to free many black and Hispanic prisoners who, in his opinion, have been in prison too long for relatively minor offenses. Are you aware of that effort?

You need to look up Gross Domestic Product, adjusted for inflation, and learn what it means to everyday Americans. Learn what one GDP point means to employment, and see how Trump has kept the number climbing.

Your buddy Obama? In addition to being our worst foreign affairs president and worst military commander-in-chief, his economic numbers all deserved an "F." He is our ONLY eight-year president who failed to give us at least one 3% or higher year of adjusted GDP growth. EVERY other president achieved at least one year of 4.28% or higher growth. Aided by Vietnam spending, Johnson had an 8.48 year. The best peacetime year -- 7.83 -- belonged to Reagan. And Obama couldn't even score a 3!!! Look it up.

You say you would speak to Obama but not Trump? How tragically uninformed you are. Obama had BY FAR the worst debt accumulation record of all our presidents. His economic blunders added about $9 trillion to our debt. NO OTHER PRESIDENT EVEN CAME CLOSE. That indebtedness will fall to you and your children.

Poor families suffered most. Obama's awful job numbers forced a record number of people to take food stamps. Black household income under Obama fell steeply as black unemployment rose. Look that up, too.

But the worst part of what Trump inherited is that Obama, like Bush and Clinton before him, thought bribes and sweet talk were the best ways to deal with North Korea. As the North Koreans neared being able to wipe out Los Angeles with a nuclear-tipped missile, Trump became the first president to stand up boldly to the rogue nation. Notice North Korea, because of Trump, has stopped launching missiles over Japan? Notice North Korea has released political prisoners? Notice North Korea has begun to return remains of U.S. Service members? Absent sturdy spines, Clinton, Bush, and Obama could not approach those major achievements.

Obama naively bribed the planet’s worst terrorist nation, Iran, with what was supposed to become a $150 billion handout. Did Obama not know many of those U.S. Tax dollars would help fund Hamas and Hezbollah terrorism? Of course, he did. He just didn't care. ISIS, which Obama let grow, is almost wiped out under Trump. They don't even make the paper now. Sanctuary cities and Obama's catch and release immigration policy was a disaster.

Remember the $800 billion of your and everyone else's tax dollars in his early stimulus for "shovel-ready jobs." Most of those tax dollars went to political cronies. He handed $500 million to Solyndra, a solar company run by boosters. The company soon went bankrupt. Our half-billion in tax money vanished with it.

Trump is often obnoxious, but people with courage can have that hangup. Obama always talked big, then feebly stood by when Putin infringed on Ukraine and annexed Crimea. But Obama's most cowardly move came when he warned Assad not to cross "the red line" in Syria. When Obama's warning was ignored, which Assad knew would happen, Obama did nothing. Does that make him a "bum?"

It makes me sad that you, as someone with a national voice would be so ignorant of economics, and also presidential decisions. I encourage you to do more reading and thinking as you watch the nation's GDP numbers rise and minority employment rise.

* Read about "Right To Try," which frees terminally ill people to sign a lawsuit waiver and take an experimental drug that might not be approved for many years. Democrats fought this sensible plan for years because it would cost them donations.

* Read about a Navy Obama left to Trump that struggled with about half its carrier aircraft unsafe to fly.

* Read about Trump's giving the VA the right to fire any employee who neglects or abuses a patient.

* Read about Trump's courage in challenging, actually demanding that, NATO partners to pay their fair share rather than keep mooching off the U.S.

You might also read the wisdom of two of the world’s brightest people, black intellectuals Dr. Thomas Sowell and Dr. Walter Williams. They have written many books. Sowell and Williams’ integrity, remarkable insights and clarity of expression cause their common sense to soar off the page to readers.

Or, you could ignore vital Trump decisions and remain an illiterate on both presidential achievement and economics. If you disdain knowledge and keep calling Trump or any other U.S. president a bum, people will begin to wonder who's the real bum.

Sincerely,
Hal Lundgren

Been to the supermarket lately?

As you're checking out you can't help but see magazine covers like these.

The thought came across my mind. Michelle is no longer the first lady yet you see FAR more of her than the current first lady... the mesmerizing Melania.

If she was a Democrat the print media would be going apeshit!

Which brings me back to Michelle.

Reality...They're trying to portray something she isn't.

By that I mean she can't be bald one minute and have a full head of hair the next.

This is why her makeup artist gets $1,500 an hour.

The print... really all the MSM is desperately trying to 'hang on' to Michelle Obama and Barry for that matter. What did Obama accomplish as president? The answer. He's not Trump. The media yearns for the Obama's so much they found a sucker to pay them $65 million for a book deal.

So the next time you see a magazine cover with the captivating Michelle remember everything is not what it seems.

U.S. Media Ignore Mexican President’s Ties to Drug Cartels

President, Enrique Peña Nieto

(Wouldn't be surprised to hear Vicente Fox was dabbling in it as well)

U.S. news outlets appear to have forgotten that the Juarez Cartel and multiple acts of corruption have been linked to the election of the current Mexican President, Enrique Peña Nieto. The Mexican president’s ties to cartels, the mysterious release from prison of major cartel figures during his presidency, and the fact that regions of Mexico are under operational control of these paramilitary transnational criminal organizations during his presidency are rarely, if ever, reported in the U.S. The outrageous number of journalists who have been murdered or who have simply disappeared in Peña Nieto’s Mexico is also rarely reported.

Last year, Breitbart Texas reported on an investigation that revealed that a series of shell companies had been used by members of the Juarez cartel to funnel funds into Peña Nieto’s 2012 election. The investigation was carried out by Mexican award-winning journalist Carmen Aristegui and her team; the subsequent scandal became known as Monexgate for the cash cards that were given out during Peña Nieto’s campaign. Those journalists have been under criticism by the Mexican government after discovering the cartel finance link, as well as the fact that Peña Nieto had received properties as bribes from government contractors.

A few examples of the current Mexican president’s softness towards his nation’s drug cartels provide some insight into the realities in Mexico that are ignored by U.S. media.

Coahuila and Los Zetas

In addition to receiving funds from cartel operatives, Peña Nieto’s campaign was run by another politician who has been singled out in international court hearings as a surrogate for Los Zetas. During the 2012 campaign, the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) was run by Humberto Moreira. Before running the PRI and Peña Nieto’s campaign, Moreira was the governor of the border state of Coahuila. During his time as governor, Moreira worked as a surrogate of Los Zetas by giving free rein to the criminal organization in exchange for cash bribes, as Breitbart Texas previously reported. Once in power, Los Zetas carried out a series of massacres in that state wherein one case alone 300 victims, including women and children, were kidnapped, murdered and incinerated in a network of ovens at government facilities. Breitbart Texas’ investigation into the massacre revealed that some of the victims were incinerated in 55-gallon drums inside the state-run prison in Piedras Negras, Coahuila.

As Breitbart Texas reported, Moreira spent some time inside a Spanish prison when that government arrested him on money laundering charges. During various hearings, Spanish authorities singled out Moreira as a surrogate of Los Zetas. As Breitbart Texas reported, under Peña Nieto’s watch, Mexico’s government flexed its diplomatic muscle and used political pressure to successfully force Spain into releasing Moreira.

No Pasa Nada — “Nothing To See Here”

Under Peña Nieto, Mexican cartels only grew in power as his government appears to be unable or unwilling to stop the cartel violence. Despite constant claims by Mexican officials about improving security conditions, Mexico continues to see an ongoing escalation of violence. Breitbart Texas has reported about Mexico’s Secretary of the Interior claiming that Mexico’s security conditions were the best they had been in a decade, while rival cartel factions fought for control of lucrative drug territories. The violence has been felt primarily in Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Veracruz, Guerrero and Nuevo León where gun battles and executions have become a regular occurrence.

During Peña Nieto’s term, key cartel figures have been suspiciously released from prison while his government officials claim to be improving security conditions. In December 2014, Mexico’s court system exonerated Raul Salinas of having ransacked millions in government funds as well as making money through various corrupt means, as reported by Breitbart Texas at the time. Raul Salinas is the brother of former Mexican president Carlos Salinas de Gortari. Raul Salinas had been jailed in 1995 on the financial crimes.

In August 2013, a Mexican federal court released Rafael Caro Quintero, a drug lord who at one time was the leader of the Guadalajara cartel. Quintero’s cartel was the precursor to the now famous Sinaloa Cartel. The drug lord had been convicted of drug charges and the murder of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Agent Enrique Camarena. For unknown reasons Mexico’s court system released Quintero before the U.S. Department of Justice could request his extradition; he remains a fugitive.

In 2014, another top cartel boss named Rogelio “El Keli or Z-2” Gonzalez Pizana was quietly released from a Mexican federal prison after being cleared of various drug trafficking and organized charges even though he had been convicted and was serving a 16-year-sentence.

Examples Could Go On and On

The examples of the Mexican president’s softness towards Mexican drug cartels could fill hundreds of pages. The point is that U.S. media continuously ignore the realities of Mexico and the voices of the many thousands who grieve for their murdered or disappeared loved ones. U.S. media avoid holding accountable the Mexican political leaders who not only turn a blind eye to the cartels but often directly assist these criminal groups. This affects U.S. governmental policy and approaches to Mexico, largely leaving frustrated U.S. law enforcement agencies that are forced to balance their law enforcement priorities with diplomatic concerns with a partially failed narco-state. Voicing the diplomatic concerns of Mexico’s president without also reporting on cartel ties is not only a disservice to the citizens of the U.S., but it silences the voices of cartel victims and their loved ones in Mexico and adds further complications to their struggle for liberty and justice.

The wicked witch is dead

Brenda Snipes Resigns: ‘I Have Served the Purpose I Came Here For’

(She got that right)

------------------------------------------

Brenda Snipes submitted her resignation as the elections supervisor of Broward County, Florida. Her decision came one day after Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum offered his second concession to Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in the Sunshine State’s gubernatorial election.

“I think I have served the purpose that I came here for, which was to provide a credible election product for our voters,” said Snipes last week during a press conference.

NBC’s local affiliate in South Florida reported: “[Brenda Snipes’s] office illegally destroyed 6,000 ballots in 2016 after they were counted but a judge ordered them to be preserved.”

Snipes was appointed by former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) to supervise elections in Broward County, subsequently being re-elected since.

Broward County is described as “Democratic-leaning” by CNN and as “Florida’s biggest Democratic Stronghold” by the Washington Post.

Oh, and speaking of witches...

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell falsely described Snipes as a Republican last week:

We should also point out that Brenda Snipes in Broward County is a Republican appointed by former governor … Jeb Bush. So she was put in by a Republican governor after the mess that we all remember from 2000. And she’s hardly a Democratic official, or someone doing the bidding of the Democratic candidates there.

Snipes said of herself last week, “I have been a Democrat all my life.”
